Trump backtracks on releasing boat strike video

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

President Trump on Monday walked back the support he previously voiced for releasing any video of a second strike on an alleged Venezuelan drug boat in early September, insisting he never said he supported making the video public, after Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth declined to commit to releasing the Pentagon's footage.

Last week, the president told reporters he didn't know what video existed of the subsequent strike, "but whatever they have, we'd certainly release, no problem." ...

On Monday, Mr. Trump said he never voiced support for releasing the video, despite his on-camera comments five days earlier.

Here we go again with mocking acronyms. Remind me of the other acronym that sums up the bizarre behavior of foreigners starting dozens of nonsensical threads solely to vent hatred on the US President?

  • Seems you're corned again and looking daft making excuses................

The main reason......."suggested by many".......is that there is an hour between strikes!!!   Hardly the fog of war.

Those videos will never be released except by a Democrat operative who "leaks" them to the US MSM.  They will probably surface at a time when the Democrats feel they can damage the Trump administration the most.

So you believe that Trump's turnaround is due to the fact that they are damaging? How can they be damaging if they confirm what Trump and company are claiming?

It's funny. Even Rasmussen has Trump down by 12 points in the polls, but according to you, it's a sure sign that someone isn't an American because it's only non-Americans who use mocking acronyms against him.

Poor Sunny, desperately defending the indefensible. There are several acronyms that describe your pathological need to defend the traitor, but let's keep it light, shall we?

This thread is running away from the topic.

"President Trump on Monday walked back the support he previously voiced for releasing any video of a second strike on an alleged Venezuelan drug boat in early September, insisting he never said he supported making the video public."

Either he did or he didn't.

That would be an act of espionage, and it would be difficult to leak such documents without getting busted, that’s assuming that anyone would be able to acquire it given the security protocols.

Because it was a "war crime" and it will hurt the Trump administration, it will eventually see the light of day.  My guess?  After the 2026 Mid-term when the Democrats swing Congress, they'll start pressing for impeachment again.  "We can't have war criminals in the Trump Administration, blah blah blah yada yada yada."  Like I said, they'll be released when the Democrats think they'll do the most damage.  The best thing Trump could do for himself is the release the videos and throw Hegseth under the bus.

Personally I feel nothing for those who Ok'ed the institutionalized summary executions on the high-seas as those involved ARE bona-fide War Criminals and should be standing if front of the ICC in the Hague. I really detest AGM-114 summary executions as they deliberately bypass all due process and all sense of morality.  And ironically, those cheering the ICC indictment of Phillipine president Rodrigo Duterte are doing the EXACT same war crimes while smugly stating that because they are agents of the US government they can do anything they da*m well please.

Hegseth: "Rules of engagement?  We're Team America - World Police.  We don't need no stinking "rules of engagement."

I would not expect socialists/communists with fascist leanings to understand the concept of negotiation, nor have any understanding whatsoever in the tactics used by Alphas during said negotiations.

I would expect evidence-free name calling from you.  So whatever Trump says, whenever he says it, can alway be ascribed to negotiating. A good negotiator doesn't have to deny that he said things that he actually said. A good negotiator would never paint himself into that kind of corner. And why would he promise something only to deny it later. He gave the ball away and now wants it back?

You said the tariffs could not benefit the US.

Since the Great Tariffs came into play numerous countries tucked their tales between their legs and surrendered. Countries like the UK, the EU and (are you sitting down?) China caved in to the great man's big beautiful tariffs.

Trump is the undisputed master of negotiation and deal making.

No surprise people living in the countries that folded like wet blankets to Trumps tariffs are venting on forums. No surprise at all.

If somebody wants to shoot themselves in the foot and compels someone to hand over the gun to do it with, is his success in getting them to do that, a benefit to him?

You don't seem to understand that just because the ignoramus got what he wants, that doesn't mean the country is going to benefit from it. In 2025 imports have actually increased at a higher rate than exports. And factory jobs have actually declined. Why do you think this is a success?

Once again dear leader becomes a time traveler and his very image and his very words clearly captured on HD video and broadcast live for all to see and hear are a "hoax" and in a matter of hours dear leader says why i never said that...even though a five year old can see and understand exactly what he said.....long live the cult where you are told by dear leader not to believe your own eyes and ears just shut up buy a chinese bible, a rolex, a gold phone, and some crypto memes....

Fact check - 5 howlin' Pinnichios

Every product Trump purchases (or his staff buy for him) is subject to sales tax.

Trumps companies & businesses will pay the appropriate tax rates.

You are probably confused by TRUMP DONATING HIS ENTIRE PRESIDENTIAL SALARY to good causes which likely mean his personal income tax from his day job is written off to zero. Btw did your man Biden, who was motivated by $$$ donate his entire salary?🤣

Trump is not a perfect being. Shall we criticize him on his real faults rather than making up silly bs all day long - which does tend to make him seem perfect? As did the 10 year long all hands on deck persecution of him which only found he had paid back a loan in full and on time - break out the guillotine we got him now!!!

Right. So generous. So disinterests. Which is why Trump has not put his businesses in a blind trust as other Presidents have done. His businesses are working with foreign governments. For some strange reason the UAE used the Trump company's crypto coins to transfer 2 billion dollars to Binance the head of which Trump pardoned despite the fact this this guy knowingly failed to put a stop to money laundering used by terrorists and other malefactors.

And that's just one of many ways in which Trump businesses profit from their dealings with foreign governments.

In 2012, Buffett made headlines when he revealed a startling truth: his secretary, Debbie Bosanek, paid a far higher tax rate than he did.

He explained, "I don't pay hardly any payroll taxes. Gov. Romney hardly pays any payroll taxes. Newt Gingrich hardly pays any payroll taxes." Driving the point home, he emphasized the disparity: "Debbie pays lots of payroll taxes."
