Usually, bookings open one month in advance, but on the Thai Immigration website it seems to be blocked on January 2nd, and therefore no appointments are available. Is there any reason for this?

Appointment for what?  90 day appointments (for example) are right now available until Friday 9th.  Check early tomorrow and you should see appointments for your chosen reason on Monday 12th.

Appointments have a window of 30 days in advance. 

If the 30 days is fully booked you try early morning for new added day. 

Even then appointments for annual extensions can fill up quickly. 

 

Edit: OP, I see what you mean now as just tried to make a booking extension retirement. 

And yes only open till Jan 2 and zero slots. 

Suggest continue to try obtain slot early morning every day.

It isn't "open" only till 2/1, there simple are no appointments available.  The reason you can see 2/1 is because it's in red as they are closed for a holiday, all the other dates are there but greyed out.

Also, for example if you wanted to try to get an appointment in the next two weeks, log in to the system and keep checking the appointments schedule. Occasionally someone with a booked appointment will do the right thing and cancel it if they can't attend at the scheduled time.  And if a person has an appointment and wants to proceed with making a new one the initial appointment will be cancelled, and thus that date/time slot will open up.

Sorry, yes I meant a booking for extension retirement.

Everyday since January 2nd, no slot was available early in the morning

Correction to my post above by @Upnotover is correct. 

So just suggest you keep looking each day for added day slots. 

 

FWIW: When I haven't been able to obtain appointment... I turn up prior to lunch break (12pm) and obtain Que ticket. 

Note they will not give you ticket without showing filled in TM7. 

Then use lunch break for photo copying, banking etc. 

At 1pm with que ticket you do not line up. 

Just go to side of entry and you will be omitted entry. 

Go straight to L1 desk.. 

First right side of entry.

I have to do everything in the morning. I'm busy in the afternoon. Extension, Re-entry , 90 days

Cry me a river... 

To attend am without appointment and do extension + 90 report + reentry permit you will be there all day. 

 

Note reentry permit and 90 report needs to be done AFTER extension. 🤣

Reentry permit can be obtained at airport upon departure.

That's why I want to make an appointment, in fact 3. Up to now I always got 3 in the morning.

I buy a rentry permit after getting an extension. I did the three last January like every year

First extension

Second reentry

Third TM47

 

Only for the first extension after getting a non O visa, TM47 was not needed

OP, if you grab one of the slots for the extension as shown above then you could make an appointment for reentry permit, say 90mins later. 

With the print out of reentry permit you can approach those desks directly. 

Note the io at that desk will want photocopy of newly inserted extension stamp. 

Photocopy stalls level 1 can provide.

Passport back 10:15
Re-entry appointment 11:30 
I didn't use it because I took several Queue tickets in case Extension ends earlier which always is the case
Re-entry 10:53 => 11:03

No all days disappear in the morning and come back in the evening.. there is a bug
