And what about Koh Kood?

It is a nice holiday get away especially for the more wealthy Bangkok Thais, but more foreigners have come lately. Depends what you like to do? It is a  nice boring relaxing  quiet island , with very few loud parties going on. I like it, kayaking, sup padling, swimming, hiking, reading, bungalows with nice views,

got some Russians who played loud music, talked loud bbq themselves in the evening, quite annoying, but thats how it si sometimes especially at the budget places, so nice to only book a few days at the time and either move or extend on the spot.

It's a gem, but it depends on what you're after. If you want waterfalls and hiking, stick to Koh Kood or Koh Chang. But if you want a flat, easy-to-explore island with a "slow life" feel, Koh Mak is it. Pro tip: Bring enough cash as ATMs can be hit or miss, and definitely grab a drink at the Blue Pearl Bar (the one on the long wooden pier), it's easily one of the best sunset spots in Thailand.

It’s a bit more elderly at Koh Mak, and they have golf carts for rent there if you do not like to ride motorbikes.
