Bernie Sanders Says AI Will Control the Planet Soon

He is likely correct. No good is going to come from this. It was an enormous mistake. AI was supposed to be a helpful assistant, a glorified calculator that makes life easier. Instead, we’ve created a chaotic force of nature that’s messing with everything from politics to creativity to the very fabric of reality. If we’re not careful, AI won’t just destroy industries, it’ll destroy the way we think, create, and even believe in truth itself.

Remember when music, movies, and fashion had actual flavor? When subcultures thrived, and you could tell a punk from a preppy from a goth?

Well, thanks to AI, culture is now one big, algorithm-approved, auto-generated soup of “sameness.” AI-driven recommendation engines decide what we watch, listen to, and even wear. Streaming platforms use AI to serve us what’s already trending, which means more of the same recycled beats, rehashed plotlines, and uninspired content. The result? Every song sounds like an AI-generated remix of the last five hits, every movie feels like a Marvel sequel, and every book cover looks suspiciously like a slightly different version of whatever topped the bestseller list last year.

Creativity isn’t dying because people lack talent, it’s dying because AI drowns out the weird, the risky, and the original. If it doesn’t generate instant engagement, the algorithm buries it.

It wasn't an "enormous mistake", but a natural evolution of science. From the moment computers were invented, it was inevitable. Humans will always be trying to make things easier.
