Bangkok Airways and mini-bus operators have adjusted their schedules for services between Bangkok and Trat due to a military-imposed curfew in the eastern border province. The curfew, in effect from 7pm to 5am since Sunday, affects all mainland districts in Trat but excludes the holiday islands of Koh Chang and Koh Kut. These changes will remain until at least Thursday, according to the latest updates.

The airline has modified two specific flights. The final flight to Trat, PG307, now departs Suvarnabhumi airport at 3.45pm, with the return flight, PG308, leaving Trat at 5.15pm. Meanwhile, flights PG301/302 and PG305/306 will continue operating at their regular times, departing at 8.10am and 12.45am, respectively, with returns scheduled at 9.40am and 2.15pm.

The mini-bus operators have also altered their schedules, with the last services from Ekkamai and Mor Chit bus stations now leaving for Trat at 1pm. Previously, the latest buses departed both the capital and Trat at 6.30pm. These changes are primarily due to escalating clashes along the Thai-Cambodian border, prompting the imposition of the curfew, reported Bangkok Post.

Key Takeaways

  • Travel schedules for Bangkok-Trat routes have been adjusted due to a curfew.
  • Bangkok Airways and mini-bus services end earlier to comply with the restrictions.
  • The curfew results from ongoing border clashes between Thai and Cambodian troops.
