White House Chief Calls Musk Drug User, VP ‘Conspiracy Theorist’

(Bloomberg) -- Elon Musk, the chief executive officer of Tesla Inc., was an “avowed” ketamine user, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles told , among a series of candid and occasionally critical remarks she made about President Donald Trump’s inner circle in interviews with the magazine.

She also labeled Vice President JD Vance a “conspiracy theorist,” budget head Russ Vought a “right-wing absolute zealot” and criticized Attorney General Pam Bondi’s handling of the files pertaining to the late, disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

"Over the course of 11 interviews, Ms. Wiles offered pungent assessments of the president and his team: Mr. Trump 'has an alcoholic’s personality.' Vice President JD Vance has 'been a conspiracy theorist for a decade' and his conversion from Trump critic to ally was based not on principle but was 'sort of political' because he was running for Senate. Elon Musk is 'an avowed ketamine' user and 'an odd, odd duck,' whose actions were not always 'rational' and left her 'aghast.' Russell T. Vought, the budget director, is 'a right-wing absolute zealot.' And Attorney General Pam Bondi 'completely whiffed' in handling the Epstein files."

"Wiles is on the record," said former broadcaster John Cardillo. "Hard to spin this one."

"The unemployment numbers are so bad, Trump might hold off on firing Wiles just to avoid adding a single new one," joked historian Kevin Kruse.

"Haven't read the article yet, but sounds like a dramatic exit interview from Susie Wiles," posted The Bulwark's Bill Kristol.

"Wiles must be leaving," suggested attorney Bradley Moss. "This story is insane."

"My theory is that Wiles is not leaving, that Trump somehow thinks he needs her, or that she provides him some sort of cover," speculated journalist Sarah Posner. "But she sees the writing on the wall of his crumbling popularity, and wants to create the (false) impression that she tried to stop his worst impulses."

Doubtful. She echoes Trump and without her his office will collapse. She is holding it together.

Donald Trump’s chief of staff Susie Wiles has described being “aghast” when Elon Musk took what he called his “chainsaw” to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and slashed virtually all of the country’s aid spending overnight.

Susie aghast at Donald Trump

“ I think anybody that pays attention to government and has ever paid attention to USAID believed, as I did, that they do very good work,” Ms Wiles said.

Reporting by The Independent has found US aid cuts have deprived people of essential medicines, cut off access to family planning risking tens of thousands of lives, and led directly to deaths.

While Donald Trump’s administration – having initially cancelled virtually all programmes aid overnight – has turned the taps back on in some areas, global health spending is still two-thirds lower than it was last year.

The writing on the wall is actually more than just his "crumbling popularity."  I would say that she is also quite aware of his rapidly declining health.

What Vance has said about Trump-

#America’s Hitler”

In 2016, Vance sent a message to his law school roommate in which he wrote that he went “back and forth between thinking Trump is a cynical <deleted>…or that he’s America’s Hitler,” according to a screenshot shared by the former roommate in 2022.

A villain and a douche

In February 2016, Vance liked a tweet featuring a photo of Trump and O.J. Simpson that read, “Here is an old picture of one of USA’s most hated, villainous, douchey celebs. Also in picture: OJ Simpson.”

“Unfit” to be president

In an April 2016 op-ed for The New York Times, Vance wrote: “Mr. Trump is unfit for our nation’s highest office.”

A total fraud

During a 2016 interview, Kentucky radio host Matt Jones told Vance: “I cannot stand Trump because I think he’s a fraud…I think he’s a total fraud that is exploiting these people.” Vance responded: “I do too…I don’t think he actually cares about folks.”

Stomach-churning, “noxious”

Speaking to NPR’s Terry Gross in August 2016, Vance said: “I think that I’m going to vote third party because I can’t stomach Trump. I think that he’s noxious and is leading the white working class to a very dark place.”

“Never Trump,” “never liked him”

“I’m a ‘Never Trump’ guy. I never liked him,” Vance told Charlie Rose in October 2016.

An “idiot”

“My God what an idiot,” Vance wrote on Twitter, also in 2016, in reference to Trump.

I don't think Vance has changed his opinion of Trump.  He just isn't expressing it in public anymore.

Is this the latest bombshell?   Yawn.

Musk is weird.

Vance wants to be president, and Rubio thinks he will win.

Oh right, would you have expected that he would confirm it? You must be really delusional.

You mean, he switched back to the opinion he had of Trump, and which is well documented, before he became VP?

Brings up memories of the Pence, who also turned against the so much loved (by MAGA idiots) POTUS

If Trump actually is capable of appreciating what she does for him. What she gas going for her is Trump's well known aversion to reading (dyslexia?). So he may decide like so many ignoramuses that the article doesn't say what it's represented to say.

And while she may be holding it together, it looks like she isn't doing the same for herself. Which could explain whey she spilled. Constant exposure to Trump could do that to a person.

Yes, having to put up with such a maniacal boss can and will eventually drive you crazy.

Obviously, she had a good dose of truth serum before the interview!
