Unemployment rate hit a four-year high last month

Trump can't stop winning!

"Unemployment rose to a four-year high of 4.6% in November, and the economy added 64,000 jobs last month, new data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed Tuesday."

https://www.cnn.com/2025/12/16/economy/us-jobs-report-final-november-october?cid=android_app

NB The big decrease in October is due to DOGE cuts early this year.

It's Biden's fault.

And Trump is still bringing in 'trillions and trillions' of dollars. Also on the verge of starting a war in Venezueala which will bring more prosperity and closer to MAGA.

Shame you are unemployed

The average annual unemployment rate during Barack Obama's presidency was 7.4%, which is relatively high compared to other post-World War II presidents.

How's your average deflection rate doing?

St Louis Fed numbers.

Native born jobs are 2.5 million higher than January.

If the unemployment rate is higher, it's because they started counting the unemployed "newcomers" as part of the workforce.  Biden's economists excluded them to make his unemployment numbers look better.

Which he inherited from a conservative president. Yeah facts hurt Susan

In fact, Obama ends his administration with the second-largest drop in the unemployment rate during a presidency since the New Deal helped pull the nation out of the Great Depression. The rate under Obama is bested only by the one under Bill Clinton, which fell from 7.3 percent in January 1993 to 3.9 percent in December 2000.

As Obama took office amid the depths of the recession, the unemployment rate was 7.8 percent. Last month, it was 4.7 percent.

So in 8 years he failed to get it below 4.5 :cheesy:

Obama was hopeless

What makes it worse is that he received from the Bush Administration the greatest financial crisis the world faced since the Great Depression.  Obama should have refused to accept delivery?

The average annual unemployment rate under President George W. Bush was 5.31%.

BS. The U.S. unemployment rate is calculated using consistent methods by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), and there is no evidence that “newcomers” were excluded under President Biden or suddenly added in 2025. The methodology has remained stable for decades.

And the destruction is just starting, the damage that Trump has done to the US economy will not be seen for a while, but the results will be horrendous unless he rolls back most of his ridiculous tariffs.

Sure. Clinton's policies magically survived 8 years of the Bush Administration to unleash the Great Recession on the world.

Anybody can look up the facts if they care to know the facts, but in the last 50 years every Republican administration has had higher inflation and higher unemployment then their Democratic counterparts.

I dare you to look it up, guys.

False claim, Biden suffered from the biggest pandemic in 40 years. A pandemic started, and ignored, during Trump's term

Obama inherited the biggest unemployment from a republican president.

On the apparently large increase of native born emplloyment:

Every January, the BLS updates its survey weights to reflect new Census Bureau estimates of the U.S. population. In 2025, this adjustment significantly increased the count of native-born workers, making the employment level appear to jump.

Bush may not have been the brightest bulb but he was capable of paying attention to more than one thing over the space of 8 years. Moreover, the first of his tax cuts and deregulation took place before the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq.

Basically, your comment is ridiculous. But, at least you're consistent.

So you blame Clinton and Bush for the GFC. Fair enough. Both morons.
