Well it could have been worse. He could have said something even more horrible like there should be an economic boycott of Israel or that Israel is an apartheid state. Now that would be unforgivable.

There are debates to be had upon many aspects of the Israel/Palastinian situation, debates upon the legitamacy of Israel, Palastine, debates upon both the Hamas attacks of October 7th, and Israels response and continuing campaign in Gaza. Debates about third party involvement, US support for Israel, Iranian and millitant Islam's support for Hamas and Hizbollah, and many other. But this chap, well he is just like the interference on an old TV set!

Israel make peace by stopping apartheid in greater Israel, stop stealing Palestinian land through illegal settlements, stop a blockade and occupation. Quite simple really. Did you know 2025 had the highest number of illegal settlements in the West Bank?

On the contrary, if you look at my posts across the whole spectrum of topics on this board in which I am interested, Uk politics, US politics, international matters and Thai affairs (and after all you follow me on this forum) I would hope that whilst taking a particular stance I am able to accept and at times even agree with other points of view.

At the risk of sounding pompous I have long felt (perhaps due to what the current argot would term my "lived experience") that smashing an opponent and demanding they agree with you rarely wins an argument, either in debate or physically, and is often counterproductive.

So in terms of Israel/Palestine, as in so many fields, I understand that there can be differing views.
