A CNN team witnessed several explosions early Saturday in Caracas, and reported that some areas of the city were without electricity.

The first blast was recorded at approximately 1.50am local time (0.50aET).

“One was so strong, my window was shaking after it,” CNNE correspondent Osmary Hernandez said.

I don't think Russia or China are going to go out of their way about this. In fact, it won't admit to it, but they probably approve of it because it endorses the notion that major Nations are entitled to have spheres of influence where they can violate international law with impunity.

There are enough Venezuelan illegals of military age in the US to start a foreign legion for Trump to use against Maduro.

Plus any distraction is welcome. The busier US is away from Ukraine, Taiwan and the rest of the South China sea, the better for Russia and China.

Chinooks means troops being inserted. No "guessing" needed. The amount of troops and if it's just a surgical strike we'll have to wait and see.

Reports have emerged that Venezuela’s Defense Minister Padrino López has died as a result of US air strikes, RIA Novosti reported, citing local media, APA reports.

Earlier, reports had circulated about strikes on the defense minister’s residence. The death of Padrino López has not yet been officially confirmed.
