The point is this: Trump comes at the end of a long cycle of American corporatism and exceptionalism, in which Joe Blow and his kind were left behind whilst the corporates and financiers carved up the cake ever more greedily and efficiently, discarding them like chaff.

Add to this the decline of education, the gun culture, the junk food that's basically poison, the decaying cities, and the rise of Asia China and the East ascending while the West grows brittle and you had the perfect storm.

Trump just came along, accidentally at first, to get back at NBC for not paying him top dollar on his record-rated show. The rest is just showmanship, idiocracy, and naked opportunism wrapped in a MAGA wrapper blatant looting of the state for personal gain.

Looked at through a longer lens, this is simply the way empires end: in farce and tragedy. The ending was always going to happen somehow. These things are inexorable outputs of the human condition the same patterns that brought down Rome, that crumbled dynasties, that turned golden ages to rust.

We are watching the closing act of a play written decades ago, performed now with all the grotesque comedy of a civilization that has forgotten how to take itself seriously.

Video footage clearly shows that the agent shot her through the (her) lower left hand side of the windscreen, and then shot her twice in the head through her open window when he was at the side of her car....that is tantamount to murder.

And trump lied through his teeth (as the saying goes) to cover up this unlawful killing......despicable, lying poor excuse for a human being and not fit to hold office of any description. How his MAGA fans can cover and support this is shameful and disgusting.
