A Thai woman died after heroically saving a colleague from a loader accident in Phrae province. The tragic event took place at an agricultural product store in the Mae Lai sub-district yesterday afternoon. Authorities arrived to find the woman’s body atop a corn pile, confirming her death due to severe injuries.

The accident happened inside a corn storage warehouse when the loader reversed unexpectedly. The 33-year-old woman pushed a 62-year-old colleague to safety, only to be struck herself. The community mourns her sacrifice, with her husband and young son left in devastation.

Witnesses disclosed that the victim had returned from maternity leave just before the incident. Her husband expressed pride in her bravery, despite the irreplaceable loss. The police are now interviewing the loader driver and other employees as part of their investigation.

Police and medical responders will conduct an autopsy and continue inquiries to establish the cause and responsibilities. This incident echoes a similar tragedy last year in Phuket, where a Russian man drowned saving his girlfriend, reported The Thaiger.
