Online Queue For Retirement Extension Question

Featured Replies

The other day I successfully made an appointment online using the Immigration Division app to obtain a queue number/booking to extend my retirement visa later this month. At the end of the process the app confirmed that the booking was successful and I took a screenshot of said confirmation.

Normally I also receive an email from the Immigration Department to my Gmail account with a PDF attachment that I can print out and bring with me on the date of the appointment. The PDF also includes a QR code and the appointment details to show at immigration. This time I did not receive any email at all though.

Right now all I have is the screenshot of the appointment confirmation from the app. I checked inside the app and I cannot find any option to generate or download the PDF from there either.

Has anyone else experienced this? Or have they stopped sending those appointment confirmation emails out with the PDF files? Will it be a problem if I do not have the printed appointment PDF and only the screenshot of the confirmed booking or is there another way to still get a copy of that PDF? I am not really sure what to do next.

just turn up on the day at alotted time.

I just made a 90 day appointment. Like you I thought I didn't get an email. However, it is hiding in my spam folder. Previously emails from immigration have gone straight to my inbox but not this time. I assume you already looked in your spam box?

Otherwise, as suggested, just turn up and show them the app confirmation.

That has happened to me before. Just print the screenshot, its what I did and not a word was said. This was at Changwattana.

When you log in to the appointment system, using your email and PW and receive the OTP, there are two tabs at the top of the screen...

Appointment

History

Your recent appointment request(s) should show up in the History tab. If it's not there, your appointment request wasn't completed properly.

Click on Booking Detail, and Print. Print presents the PDF so you can also download it.

When I make an appointment, the confirming email shows up in my inbox.

The winning answer! Yes, login on a PC and the print option appears, this is not available on the app.

Thank you. Yes, that worked. I got the PDF now. Yes, the mobile app doesn't offer the print and download option when you click on booking detail like it does if you login directly through the website. The direct login link for the queue system didn't come up in a Google search though, but eventually I found it through the main Thai Immigration website. I was also able to use a browser on my phone to login to the website. So I was also able to save the file right onto my phone as well. Perfect.

As I mentioned, in the past, the confirmation email has always shown up in my inbox too. But this time it didn't. And I checked Spam in Gmail just in case and it wasn't there either. No idea why it never came this time. Guess it's an imperfect world.

There is no "mobile app". (There may have been one ages ago?) AFAIK. Just a website.

When I access it on my phone, I can see the Appointment and History tabs. I can view the Booking details and the Print (and View PDF) option.

App is still on Playstore, albeit not updated for a long time....

Exactly. App not required

Also print out of screenshot of booking accepted.

Does this app even work? Other apps Immigration had in the past have gone belly-up.

Using a phone to access the website pages for both online appointments and 90-day reporting, which are optimized for mobile, works like a charm. Would be no need to use an app. Always better to use websites, if you can, instead of installing (another) app.

Yes it works fine, albeit with the limitations already identified. The only advantage in using is is that can log in with your own passcode rather than having to have one emailed to you.

Exactly. Thank you for pointing that out. With the app, I can just put in the passcode that I created for the app when I first installed it and then I don't have to wait for an OTP to come via email first to enable login. So it's a bit faster. The one downside is the fact that you can't download the PDF confirmation file from the app as you mentioned.

Here is the link to the app in the App Store for iPhone:

No worries, they never check much. Just go in the designated booth at the designated time and say "Online".

Showing up at the required time will do nothing. I just went through this. Print the page out, don't just leave it on your phone.

I sat across from the lady at my appointed time, and sat there for 45 minutes waiting. With no paper to show her, no appointment.

Careful throwing out broad brush statements like that,

At the main immigration office in Bangkok you need a hard copy printed and your queue number comes up on the board at the counter that you are assigned to when it is your time.

Yet I have not been asked for one more than once. But I agree that it is wise to have one.

Is there a Website for online queue booking for Pattaya. The only one I can find only gives a Bangkok address.
