Who is ICE?

So you start with an assumption, then go looking for stuff to confirm your assumption.

Most people do the same.

People believe what they want to believe, usually.

Let's wait and see what new information comes out.

By the way, I didn't defend that incident. The officer may need to be charged. But plenty of normal cops step out of line on the job. It doesn't mean the country is descending into gestapo.

I suppose you could argue everything from a govt website is propaganda?

  • The media eagerly fed and spread a false social media rumor that an ICE agent who conducted arrests of criminal illegal aliens in New England was a “militia leader” from Arizona.

  • The reality? He is a federal law enforcement office who has worked with ICE to help keep New England communities safe for years.

  • This claim was not only false, but also inflammatory and places the safety of federal officers in jeopardy.

  • Our ICE officers are facing 300% increase in assaults while carrying out enforcement operations.

Yep, all fake. It's the media's fault. Nothing to do with Trump or his little nazi sidekick, Stephen Miller. No Siree, Bob!

Many confused souls out there, who do not know what to believe, but they do believe anyway! Sometimes believes very strongly, even the facts are against them, but they still believe!

Are they just peaceful protests or are people interfering with police work?

Gotta love AI

That statement captures a very human paradox: people often believe before they understand—and sometimes despite understanding.

A few key ideas are embedded in it:

  1. Belief fills uncertainty
When people feel confused or overwhelmed, belief becomes a stabilizer. Not knowing what to believe is uncomfortable, so the mind often chooses something rather than staying in doubt. Belief can provide identity, purpose, or emotional safety even when clarity is missing.

  2. Belief is not the same as truth-seeking
Many beliefs are not formed to match reality but to satisfy psychological needs—belonging, control, hope, fear reduction. Once a belief serves one of these needs, facts become secondary.

  3. Strong belief can coexist with weak evidence
In fact, the weaker the evidence, the stronger the belief may become. This is because belief can turn into a defense mechanism: admitting contradiction would threaten one’s self-image or worldview.

  4. Facts alone rarely change minds
When beliefs are tied to identity or emotion, contradictory facts are often perceived as attacks rather than information. This leads to rationalization, denial, or selective interpretation instead of revision.

  5. Believing is easier than doubting
Doubt requires effort, humility, and tolerance for ambiguity. Belief—especially absolute belief—offers certainty, even if it’s illusory.

In short, the statement points to a deep truth: humans are not primarily rational creatures who sometimes believe irrationally; we are believing creatures who sometimes reason.

As we activists oppose the promised mass deport,

We have got radical fighters of every sort,

Who'll look to kill Americans who resist—

By naming them upon the ICE List!

They're all named upon the ICE List!

The agents we will dox and fight,

Hit with shovels in the night,

We'll rage and scream—and shower with piss—

Everyone thats on the ICE List!

We doxx them on the ICE List!

[Chorus]

They're on the ICE List, they're on the ICE List,

Lets kill them all they never will be missed,

They'll none of them be missed, they'll none of them be missed!

We fight for Anarchy and hate,

The video doesn't prove anything.

We don't see what happened that lead to this.

And we have to assume the caption attached to the video is accurate, which we can't since there are so many lying journalists out there.

But keep throwing around the word "gestapo" if you think it might help brainwash some people on here.

Lots of reports on this.

Ok, found something on this.

It appears to be a propaganda misinformation fake news piece.

https://www.infowars.com/posts/latest-anti-ice-democrat-propaganda-video-debunked

While Democrats and mainstream media outlets use the video and story to push anti-ICE propaganda, such as claiming the teen “was beaten, choked and subjected to racial slurs when masked officers chased him and his father in an early-morning immigration-enforcement action,” the facts paint a different picture.

What really happened is ICE agents pulled over the Espinosas’ car while they were on the way to take Arnoldo to school, and the pair refused to roll down the windows for officers.

The teen admitted he and his father fled the scene and were eventually stopped by other law enforcement vehicles, at which point they ditched the car and ran into a nearby restaurant-supply store.

Agents chased the duo and tackled them inside the store, with the teen saying he “ran towards” his dad when he saw the feds on top of him.

As far as I have gathered, they are sweeping up illegals, often criminals. Not citizens.

And they wear masks because they are being threatened by citizens.

But someone has twisted the story into "they are gestapo and that's why they wear masks" ... "and they are rounding up anybody and everybody."

How's this for a 'twist'

No, this situation is different.

Because it (appears, at least) that there is a lot of false media coverage surrounding ICE, where media is claiming they are deporting innocent citizens.

So this is making people angry and putting ICE at risk of being attacked.

This does not happen with normal police.

It seems to me that one of the most evil entities in the US might be the media. They should be imprisoned for getting their facts wrong and spreading false information.

  • Blair was an illegal alien living in the United States who was tried and convicted for kidnapping and sentenced to 15 years in prison.

  • The New York Times published a fawning profile about this criminal illegal alien.

Nasty media for sure

So do you believe ICE is rounding up "people of color" for no other reason than their skin color?

At some point, you may need to admit the cracks on your team's arguments. You're starting to look silly.

Irrelevant.

ICE are not the police.

Are you saying ICE will use the McDonalds Defense, you know, like Harvey Milk's Twinkie Defense. If those ICE were hopped up on Mickey Ds, they were not responsible for their actions. and can't be held accountable! Maybe they were following the President's orders: Would you like fries with that?

'ICE Now So Hated Even Their Own Agents Are Terrified'

https://www.thedailybeast.com/dhs-ice-hated-under-donald-trump-kristi-noem-after-renee-nicole-good-minneapolis-shooting-agents-terrified/

"Agents fear the public revulsion toward the heavy-handed approach of ICE under President Donald Trump, and the administration’s efforts to cover its own tracks as it did in the wake of Good’s shooting, is already causing problems securing criminal convictions. One former agent told the Daily Beast that he and his colleagues fear it has become more common for juries not to believe evidence they are presenting to the court.

The hostility is such that polling suggests many Americans now wish to see ICE scrapped altogether."

Killing domestic terrorists is not a crime, but an act of heroism IMHO.

Blocking roads as a protest is an act of violence and a hate crime, as any car driver will attest.

ICE being scared, doesn't seem likely.

If I were ICE, I'd be sitting at home surrounded by loaded guns just waiting for a lefty home invasion to make my day.

18 hours ago, save the frogs said:

By illegals, let's presume you mean migrants without documentation. Of those so swept, very few have had any arrests or criminal record. Citizens are also being swept up--like trash. We don't hear about all the instances but one was sent to CECOT in El Salvador and returned to the US by court order where trumped-up (no pun) charges were laid! Isn't it miraculous that ICE has such expert training, they always know by divine intuition who has papers and who doesn't. Being people of colour simply never enters into it!

The Gestapo at least had the integrity of purpose not to wear masks. ICE is hiding their faces like bloody (armed) bank robbers! Okay, forget about masks, maybe it's pollution season. What about no ID? ID, by the way, is short for identification in case police have to appear in court. Doesn't have to be a name, just a big clear number so any bystander can record it. Is that not the American way, rule of law, checks and balances, and all that???

I still believe the full responsibility will be with the government, but what did we learn from Iraq Abu Ghraib prison? A handful of scapegoats ? There will one day be represalies to those who ignored Us citizens rights, and violated their freedom, and those who also executed physical and property violence as well damages.

Already in November there can be a whole new situation.

That's, unfortunately, wishful thinking. I wallow in pessimism. I don't think anyone will ever be held accountable. By and large, US courts are now bought and paid for, including The Supremes. I predict growing unchecked authoritarian puppets, controlled by corporations for which billionaires are calling the shots. That doesn't mean there won't be the appearance of 'democracy'.

Why would they deport a legal citizen?

Beats me, too, Froggy. When there are wholesale detentions, mistakes happen, paperwork gets lost, people don't have IDs on them (ahem, as in Nazi Germany and present-day Palestine).

During the second presidency of Donald Trump, federal immigration enforcement policies and operations have resulted in the documented arrest,[1] death,[a] detention,[6]and removal[7][8] of American citizens. As of October 2025, the U.S. government was not tracking the number of detained or missing citizens.[9] The deportation of U.S. citizens from the United States is illegal.[b][10]

High-profile detention cases of American citizens include arrests of elected officials,[11][12] firefighters,[13][14] disabled adults[15][16] and children,[17] and Puerto Rican and Indigenous people.[18][19] Donald Trump has supported taking away citizenship from Americans[20] and detaining citizens in foreign prisons noted for human rights abuses.[21][22][23]

Nonsense.

They want legal citizens to be paying taxes and working.

So much so that Trump might get rid of dual citizenship.

They don't want people leaving.

If you guys are claiming they are deporting citizens, that's silly.

Yes, because of fake media.

What I think (and I could be wrong) is there are many people greasing their pockets from these criminal gangs. And many of them have friends in high places in the media such as New York Times and are fabricating lies about ICE because they stand to lose money if these gang members are kicked out.

I could be wrong, but I think I'm not far off.

Are the media making up lies about ICE? What incentive could there be? It's always about the $$$$$.

Yep, it is you, Froggy. Delusional! That is, by far, the nuttiest conspiracy theory I've read this year!

Mostly, the greasing of palms works on politicians. I'm not saying the 'media' always gets it right. And there is intentional 'fake news' even in the most trusted media (not Fox News!) to manipulate public opinion.

The only 'gang members' I'm seeing are wearing face masks grabbing people off the streets.
