Thai e-Visa Non-immigrant O (Others) "Marriage" - 1st Extension

Featured Replies

Can a Non-immigrant O (Follow Thai spouse) immediately be for the 1st time extended as a "retired" extension (period of 1 year) of stay If de 800.000 THB was in the bank account on time?
Reason: maybe I will be too late before I can open a personal bank account as there is (was) a problem obtaining a Khor Ror 22 (first registration also) for have time enough during the 'under consideration' period.
Opening bank (after obtaining Khor Ror 22) + 60 money in a Thai bank is no problem to do extension request (retired - no consideration period)
but ... opening bank + 60 days money in a Thai bank + 30 days "under consideration" >>> I will have to leave the country for a medical appointment before the end of this period.
Where: Chonburi / Pattaya / Jomtien immigration
(origin of the problems: obtaining Khor Ror 22 @ Banglamung district office)

So you have a Non O based on marriage and for from that 90 day stamp want to apply for 12 month extension based on retirement?

No.

Likewise a Non O based on retirement can not obtain 12 month extension based on marriage.

If it had been a short period out of Thailand you could have obtained a 60 day extension "to visit wife"

That would require reentry permit

Post more detailed dates for better advice. When will you have a Thai bank account

With a Non O (marriage) immigration (long shot) might allow first extension to be based on retirement as less work for immigration.

So yes, I entered with Non O 'marriage' and did get 90 days.
I'm married with my Thai wife in my home country (foreign marriage) and this marriage was still not registered in Thailand.
I have all the paperwork full legalised done to obtain a (first) Khor Ror 22, but Banglamung wants an additional 'proof', which I can't obtain here.
The problem is that without the Khor Ror 22, I cannot open a bank account either (I have a COR from immigration)

At this moment I have to wait until 25 Feb (queue) to have the Khor Ror 22 in Bangkok (all papers accepted, no problem)

25 Feb is too late to do the full marriage extension as I am leaving 2 May.
I still can do an extension of 30 (or 60 with KR22) and do the full extension next time .... (option B)

Anyway, thank you for your quick answer ...

There is no 30 day extension to a entry with a Non O.

There is a 60 "to visit wife" however that requires marriage docs.

Thank you for the clarification
Normally I will have the marriage docs (Kor Ror 22) before my 90 days experience beginning of April ...

Kor ror 22 is a one page form provided by amphur. Costs b100 from memory. Takes the wife 5 mins to get each year at the amphur.
