You are attempting to rewrite history, and are absolutely wrong about your claim that Vietnam vets were not spat upon, and showed a tremendous degree of disrespect. It may not have happened on the base that they landed on, but it sure happened on the streets for years afterwards, and many of those vets remain traumatized to this day.

They are shown the same level of disrespect by Trump today, as with all members of the military which he seems to have quite a bit of disdain for, and in turn they utterly despise him and Tiny Petie, and have not even one gram of respect for either clown.

The last thing in the world that concerns us is how much money he has in his wallet.

I would be interested to know at what point Vietnam showed any sign of ever being a victory for USA?

The history books I read show that from start to finish it was only ever a quagmire that simply got worse for USA as time went on. To the point where the only strategy being followed to try and gain a stalemate, was to kill sufficient NVA to cause the North to sue for peace due to the extent of the casualties.

Hence the notorious American commander known as The Butcher of the Delta came into the limelight because he was “rewarded” for dead bodies, and troops under his command provided them. Unfortunately many were innocent civilians, but it didn’t matter, a body was a body.

Maybe there are American war victories that can be celebrated, Vietnam ain’t one of them and never looked like being one at any point in time regardless of who held the presidency

What you don't note is that Nixon had already withdrawn all US troops from Vietnam. In a bill that Congress passed after all the troops were withdrawn, Nixon signed a bill that prohibited the participation of US forces in Indochina. But providing arms was not.
