Israeli Strike in Gaza Kills Three Journalists, Sparks Outrage

The IHRA is too protective of Israel. Antisemitism is about Jews not Israel and IMHO, Israel is guilty of war crimes and needs to be called out.

Main Criticisms of the IHRA Definition

1. Over‑Broad and Vague Wording

  • The definition begins with “a certain perception of Jews…”, which critics say is too vague to be legally or academically useful.

  • Scholars argue it lacks precision and risks being applied inconsistently.

2. Conflation with Criticism of Israel

  • Several of IHRA’s 11 examples link antisemitism to criticism of Israel or Zionism (e.g., calling Israel a racist endeavor, denying Jewish self‑determination).

  • Critics say this risks equating political critique with antisemitism, chilling free speech and academic debate.

3. Potential to Suppress Free Expression

  • Human rights groups warn that IHRA has been used to silence Palestinian advocacy or criticism of Israeli government policies.

  • Universities and NGOs report pressure to restrict events or publications under the IHRA framework.

4. Philosophical and Legal Weakness

  • Legal scholars argue IHRA is not suitable for legislation because it is a “non‑legally binding working definition.”

  • Courts and policymakers may struggle to apply it consistently, leading to misuse.

Israel is a genocidal terrorist state - it makes Hitler's Germany look like a kindergarten.

I think it's widely accepted now that Israel targets journalists. The number of "coincidences" beggars belief.

This is the greatest antisemitic comment I have ever read. You should face legal charges.

Yes , there was a Court case in the Hague where Israel was on trial for war crimes , Israel has indeed already been called out for that

Are you a believer in Islam?

Strange that the IDF manages to violate the 'ceasefire' on a nearly daily basis. They have also moved the yellow line markers so where yesterday, it was relatively safe to walk one route, today you will now be shot.

And still people believe that what Israel says is always true. They lie and suppress the truth frequently, e.g. any evidence of successful rocket attacks in the brief Iran-Israel war. Israel will say they successfully intercepted nearly all the missiles, but over 40,000 claims for missile damage to property have been made by israeli citizens. Ok, maybe some of the claims are fraudulent...... still, someone is lying.

Do you believe in intelligent analysis, logical conclusion based on true facts and verifiable correlations before asking a question in order to challenge a statement, which actually has been made after applying all the mentioned points?

Or were you just following that typical "Zio-Reflex" to brand every person, who dares to speak up against Israeli atrocities, which no one with a sane mind can deny, by parroting the usual "Muslim", "Hamas supporter" or "terrorist lover" without the slightest thought, you might be wrong?

I can only speak for myself, but let me explain my motives, why I oppose blind pro - Israel support:

Because I am scared.

Israel and it`s supporters have achieved something incredible:

They made us abandon and betray our integrity, our moral codes, the laws we created to protect us and even our language.

I we allow or even support the mass murder of women and children and the theft of land and property being declared als legitimate self-defense then we have forfeited our right to resist or even complain if one day someone else will apply the same distorted double standard on us.

History teaches us, that this will inevitably happen.

Media tells us, that it happened already. They executed an unarmed mother who panicked and tried to escape from 3 armed men and later called it self-defense.

History also teaches us, that those siding with the perpetrator`s hoping that might later protect them from the perpetrators were literally dead wrong.

No, I don't believe in any imaginary friends and especially when people declare that they are the chosen ones and therefore degrade any other people.
