6 week stay in BKK

Featured Replies

Howdy folks

haven't been in BKK since 2016 or so... i used to rent long term by visting condos I liked the look off and asking management but this time I think I'll just be visting for 6 weeks.

What do you suggest? I could do airbnb (or did it get banned in Thailand?) - don't want hotel as like my privacy.

Are there FB groups where people rent out their places shorter term? Something like that? Don't need anything overly fancy or big.

Any advice would give me some ideas or leads..

Thanks.

It's not banned, but in theory should only be for stays over 1 month. So in your case no problem.

Yeah been reading about that - but prices are so stupidly high for airbnb now, it's better just to skip it altogther unless really desperate (or loaded)

I'll probably book some dive first for a few days and wander the streets in areas I like looking for short term apartment rental.

Unless anyone has any suggestions they know of?

I'd take any central Sukhumvit area or Ari, On Nut, Sathorn etc. Makes no difference to me.

Thanks!

Some hotels do monthly. Small ones are private.

I usually get some of it after 3 days.

I just need a studio room or 1-bed. Need a big table.... queen or king sized bed. fridge and kettle. good shower and good wifi. balcony or somewhere to smoke would be nice - that's about it!

any of these rentable small hotels you recommend?

thanks

You can get an AirBnB in Bangkok now for less than $500 a month, if you cant afford that, oh well

College Haus https://collegehaus.co.th/

End of a blind alley off Rangnam, so quiet. Newish, well-maintained, big pool. 15k b./mth for a 1 bedroom. Location is fantastic. BTS, Victory Monument, Century Mall, Tops, multiple restaurants all within 5 mins. walk.
