Trump Fires Back: "Not Sleeping, Just Bored"

Featured Replies

Donald Trump is hitting back hard against whispers about his health. Seen shutting his eyes at a cabinet meeting, the 79-year-old insists he wasn’t snoozing. The real reason? Sheer boredom!

His eyes may have been closed, but Trump’s not dozing—just enduring a "boring as hell" cabinet session. It all unfolded during a December meeting, sparking chatter about the president’s vitality. Trump, however, is standing firm, declaring he feels “the same as 40 years ago.”

These marathon meetings are legendary for dragging on. The one in December was surprisingly brief at just over an hour, far shorter than the usual three-hour marathons. Trump openly admitted that the lengthy gatherings tempted him to escape, adding humorously, "I love these people, but there's a lot of people."

Trump, who’s often faced questions about his stamina, did not hold back in an interview with New York Magazine. Addressing the latest speculation, he emphasized his “perfect health,” shrugging off the incident as nothing more than enduring a dull meeting.

But behind the scenes, not everyone is convinced. While party faithfuls support Trump's vigor, one insider noted that abandoning his signature hair dye is his "only concession to age."

The meeting brought more drama with notable absences and strategic moves. Trump didn't call on Kristi Noem, homeland security chief embroiled in controversy over ICE actions, including the killing of two protestors. The fallout forced Trump to shake up his immigration team, sidelining Noem and ousting Gregory Bovino, border control chief.

In another twist, Trump ignored other heavyweights like Marco Rubio and Doug Burgum, despite praising them. Skipping reporters' questions, he deftly sidestepped queries about Noem’s status and his own health.

Key Takeaways

  • Trump dismisses health scare, blames meeting boredom for eye-closing.

  • Inside scoop reveals hairstyle change as Trump’s nod to aging.

  • Cabinet shakeup amid ICE controversy sidelines top officials.

He always perked up for the skin crawling praises and then he fall back into a slumber on matters of governance.

Dementia Don is losing his attention span, difficulty concentrating is one of the warning signs. Memory loss is another, and he doesn't remember he didn't win the 2020 election.

Seems he can't take in new information, concepts, follow a complex train of thought.

He should go away and just focus on building and decorating.... areas he's had experience with so is not challenged.

And surrounding self with mostly young blonds,

Stick with what he knows.

LOL, of course! After the beating he gave Biden for the same thing, maybe geriatrics shouldn’t be President given their penchant to fall asleep and lie about it!

I wonder how many of us here on AN can empathise with Trump's mini cat-naps?

Confession:

I am roughly his age and plead guilty to nodding off while watching BBC or CNN.

Ditto, poor old Joe Biden: even when much younger than Joe I used frequently to go into a room and have to stop and wonder wtf I was doing there. And, also like Joe, I often go into the kitchen and do a 360 degree turn there until I finally realise what I'm looking for or hoping to do.

But I don't care, cos I am not the "leader" of the "Free World"....

He is semi senile, he is totally insane, and it appears that his health is on a fairly dramatic decline. Watching the man walking up and down a set of stairs recently has been a very scary event to witness, and his cognitive decline is swift and alarming. He is falling asleep, he can't concentrate, and if he's bored with these kind of details he shouldn't be the leader of the free world.

Get out Don, do it now, show us some dignity and just resign. You're way too old for this job, you're totally incompetent, you're a dangerous super freak, a moron, and you're incredibly destructive.

Be gone Don, be gone.

When demented donnie makes a response like this concerning his health he’s actually admitting it’s true by trying to deny it. It’s one of his “tells”. He’s done it all his life because he’s scared of showing signs of, or being interpreted, as weak. Add the fact he has the intelligence of a child, this is what he comes out with and expects people to believe him. Of course he forgets people see him on a daily basis, broadcast all over the world, and can observe his decline for themselves. It’s also ironic the meetings he claims are boring were instigated by him for all his sycophants to blow smoke up his a$$ and crow about his successes to pacify his fragile ego, narcissism and validation of not being a failure, another of his fears, of which he clearly is and has been all his life.

I stand to win £2.5k if this low IQ, obese clown doesn’t see out the 4 year term.

Things are looking good for my bet but not for the majority who live in U S.

What's he going to be like in three years? At the end of his term, Biden could barely function. Trump will be worse, I fear. And I do fear it. For as much as I dislike him, Trump is the president and we need at least a minimal amount of coherence in that office if we want to have a country and a viable currency still around in 2028. I'm still thinking he has a brain tumor, btw.

If Trump is bored, he should seek a new job; prison inmate would seem appropriate.

That's a lock. If somehow the dementia doesn't get him, he'll cut a deal with Vance to step down in exchange for a blanket pardon like the one Nixon got.

How many pardons and commutations did senile Joe "sign" on his last day "in office"?? I seem to recall it was well over 1500.

Oh, I forgot: Joe knew nothing about them: it was the "autopen" wot dunnit.
