The Klown Is An Uncle!

Featured Replies

It has become a tradition to share new born baby pics.

As this forum has helped my brother many times through me (with tech & travel advice)

I have no qualms about posting this pic, of my new born baby niece - my first!

I'm sooooo excited and happy! Born 00:40 New Delhi time - a couple of hours ago and I got the call and the pic five minutes later, and I've a trip booked for the first two weeks of October as young Isabella May is the pride of my life at the moment!

My brother and I are close, and I feel somewhat like she is my daughter by proxy - I'm so proud of my bro for his first born!!

I've been smoking Cuban cigars and drinking fine single malt at home with a couple of friends, to celebrate, while my brother sits in the hospital in Delhi not sleeping.

She's sweet ..... I wish her a long and healthy life, with an enjoyable child-hood (the last bit is a gimee isn't it)

Hi Kayo,

congrats to you on becoming an Uncle and please pass on my best wishes to your brother. May your niece have a long and happy life surrounded by good friends and a loving family.

I thought I recognised the family resemblence with her foot in mouth and then realised it was a hand :o

CB

I can just picture her out for a walk with Uncle Hefferlump.

Born 00;40 local time, 22nd august - five days after her daddy's bday.

Weighed in at 3.3 Kg. Blue eyes black hair. all healthy and ecstatic.

My folks first (official) grandchild.

Seeing babies in a whole new light now.

Before they were just ugly.

Now they are all uglier than my beautiful and adorable and super cool character of a niece.

Great news mate!!! I am thrilled for you. I will never know what being an uncle is like, so enjoy it for me as well. :o

congrats kayo! being an uncle (well, an aunt in my case) is pretty cool. im my nieces and nephews favorite aunt, so i love that.

you get to spoil them rotten, give them all the noisy toys that YOU LOVE but their parents will hate you for. you get to take them for ice cream and let the mum and dad deal with the vomiting and hypo later!

yep. being an aunt/uncle is cool!

in face, two of my nieces now have a kid each! so i am a great aunt! (im far too young for this, i swear)

last one born a month ago at just 28 weeks gestation and weighed in at a whopping 980g! good news is that he is now a bouncing 1.64 kg! nearly doubled his weight in a month.

but little Kody and his mum Bec are doing well.

Thanks all, and congrats D!!

I'm now back in the very lush smokers lounge in Helsinki, (I swear it's the best one in the world)

sipping a hot black coffee and a Ballentines.

I've yet to compile any foto's (there's quite a few) but over the weekend I will.

I've had a lovely time with my family - All my immediate family came to India at varying stages of my two week stay - and of course, Isabella May didn't wanna see her Uncle Heffy leave last night.

MiGgie very kindly, the last time she was in Delhi shortly following the birth, dropped off a big pink cuddly Hefferlump and she outdid herself with her choice. (Foto's to follow soon) She also took the initiative (unbeknownst to me) to buy a few lovely baby clothes for my niece, which I thought was really lovely.

All in all, a great time, and thanks to the final stages of a long drawn out dental procedure, and a pair of scissors to my hair, I'm sporting a bit of a new look since the day before yesterday... :o

chok Dii! :D

Hey Kayo you old Wabbit You .Nice to have new Rug Rats in the world Congrats to your brother and his good Lady

Enjoy the moment my friend..The Duck

When Isabella and I first met, we agreed that other than sh1tting and eating, we would pretty much only spend our time sleeping...

Perhaps a little by the poolside..

post-12676-1193396223_thumb.jpg

Yeah, we like the poolside...

And when we got tired of sleeping by the pool,

We'd sleep standing up...

When at last I left after two weeks, Isabella retreated to her cot...

Please note the great big Pink Elephant ... (thanks MiG!)
