Pretty sure most would think mixing LSD & Cannabis, not the most intelligent thing to do. Especially since both, can make 'insecure' people extremely paranoid, and the addition of LSD, would definitely be a negative in that situation.

Didn't mean to hit a nerve with you, and bring your inferiority complex to the surface. Apologies, and maybe you should put me on your ignore list, to avoid any future mental trauma.

Been a while but used to enjoy snow cones...... Coke sprinkled on the cone before chuffing.

I'm 71, was tripping in high school, 1972 / 73. I preferred LSD over alcohol back then. Zappa, ELO, Manfred Mann, ELP, Steeleye Span. Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Zep. Along with lots of blues & bluegrass / folk bands.

Do a hit and go to a concert, instead of getting drunk, like everyone else. Saw amazing band when they were just starting.

Missed the Orange Sunshine wave, but dots & window pane were quite good. Way beyond just colors & trails.

Did the same but with bands like. Grateful Dead, The Airplane, Steve Miller, Van Morrison, Jethro Tull, Bob Marley, Springsteen, and saw the Who do Tommy in Berkely. We took bigger doses back then a standard hit was 500 mg's. That would be considered huge today.

I don't believe you there are more holes in your story than Swiss cheese

While typing, realize I was leaving out a lot. Was concentrating on the 'zoom' factor. Steve Miller was a favorite, the Who, 10 yrs after, Tull, Grand Funk, Doobies. Then the unknowns to most, Phil Ochs, Bromberg, Newman, Nilsson, Lofgren. Saw so many bands in was mind boggling. Saw James Gang, real early, only because a friend was dating the bass player.

Saw then unknows, open for bands, on a 4 band bill, that became famous within a couple years. Strangely never cared for Grateful Dead.

Also realized, I listened to a lot crap back then, when hear it now, wonder what the hell was I thinking.

Not unknowns but bands that played softer rock became big to me. Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Joni Mitchell, Joan Armatrading. Sade, Boz Scaggs. Saw Janis a few times as well. Not a one was a big stadium show. Only one Springsteen was in a big arena. So many at Fillmore West and Winterland.

Seeing the Last Waltz was sort of the highlight and crowning glory of my rock show days!! Have a good one. The music I listen to today is the same as back then. Oldies but Goodies!!

Jeez, I'm still leaving out a bunch, CSN&Y, Scaggs, Armatrading. the Band w/Dylan 👍, Harrison when solo, with the Hare Krishna begging for money outside the Spectrum (Philly music venue), Little Feat. So many, we could go on & on, Grand Funk was a favorite, and many I saw multiple times.

Clapton's first solo tour, before I realized who he was. That was kind of embarrassing. All those songs sounded familiar cheesy WTF

Very well could have been in the same venue as I too am leaving out so many bands that I have seen. Dave Mason, Traffic. Supertramp, Frampton, Loggins and Messina, Jackson Brown, Warren Zevon. Most of these shows at that time were for sure under $10.00 and many less than that.

Mason was another favorite, seen him a few times. Never warmed up to Jackson Brown, too depressing. Same as Bromberg, though did like some of his stuff. Traffic, then Winwood when he went solo.

Early show pricing was $5-8, four bands, and they'd start at 8 o'clock and show end after midnight. I stopped going to shows in USA when they hit $60. Ozzy (Sabbath reunion), Don Henley & STP were few of my last show seen, at Memphis, just before coming to TH. Hard to believe I paid 4500 baht to see EC at Impact Arena, but everyone should see him once, though not sure the wife appreciated it as much as me. Seen EC the most, even flew to other cities when worked for airlines, try to see him at smaller venues.

Paid even more for my daughter to see 1D at Bangkok, $175 I think. Actually put on a good show, as had 2 extra tickets, her friends didn't show up for, so wife and myself used them, since couldn't sell them. Note to self: don't buy extra tickets for friends, unless have money in hand.

Caught Jeff Beck at Tower theater (2000 seats) on one of my return trips to USA, that was special, as seen him before, but large venues, with Stewart (early days), before they parted ways and SRV tour, when they switch being headliner every other night.

I could yak about music all day.

So you're not John. You actually think, I'd research something, to post, almost off topic, for what, impress people I don't know or care about ? People actually do that ??? That's sad.

I'm sure if I did, people on here who actually know me, (there's a few) would call me out on it. I usually only post from personal experience, knowledge, and over 55 yrs of lots of that. Some normal, some not so.

Want to talk some thrill seeking stuff, drugs, music, travel (some), TH, USA, cooking, finances, USA govt policy, real estate, firearms ... then I'm your guy. Relationship advice, not the best track record, so don't think anyone wants my advice. P4P, then seek out others with lots of experience.

You violated your rule, engaging with someone you suspect to be an 'idents' what ever that is, I imagine to troll and get a response from. Did open a nice flashback conversation about music though, so thanks for that. Sorry, I used to keep ticket stubs, but chucked them all a few years ago, on one of my 'cleanings', so feel free to state I never attended concerts, or worked for the airlines, and traveled just to see EC.

I'd show you crappy photos of, but you'd just say I downloaded off the net.

Have a nice day.

Figured it out, 'wokkawombat' is John, not you.

Gotta give a bow to Magic Mushroom & Cannabis as well 🙄

Mushrooms are one of the things I never tried, along with mescaline / peyote. Peyote is understandable, but Shrooms were readily available.

It's never to late to try something new 😀 The shrooms in Thailand are excellent quality these days.

Done with all that, and no interest in any 'altered' state of being. Actually regret buying the ganga that I did. Quite good, just don't appreciate not being clear headed all the time. Not as fun as I remembered, or simply no longer need to numb my thinking 🙄

Hindsight, surprised now, that I use to indulge as much as I did, before coming to TH. Realize how much of a 'social' thing it was. Never really indulged much when by myself, and since the wife has no interest in, seems strange indulging by myself.

Everybody writes with a rhythm except for you... It's all disjointed and cold... I now believe that you write like that because you copy and paste other people's work and experience.

It doesn't look like anyone tried "Thai Sticks", cannabis laced with opium. Yes, that's what they were called. Fun at open festivals while camping.

Also known as Buddha sticks in Australia.

Back in the day, buddy stationed @ Udon Thani use to send them over, only 2 times, sealed in steel tin, like a sardine tin, and need a key to open, exactly like the old tins. His brother and himself got hooked on heroin, brother OD'ing from it. He got HIV from it, not the best time to get, mid to late 70s. Finally passed early 80s.

Luckily I had a wee bit of, enough common sense back then, and chemicals were just a hobby, not a lifestyle. Too many friends lost their way. Also lucky, I was poor and had a hobby, turned investment (slum lord), and quite enjoyed rehabbing houses. Kept me out of trouble, and supplemented my crappy paying jobs. Thank you Carter & Reagan.

Going to cause a furor here but I know that this "Opium Stick" thing is a myth. Never happened, what you had was the first real high THC content weed coming Mexican was 3 to 5 percent THC. When the sticks first hit they were 18-22 Percent and would make your feet fall off. Should now be a good discussion. 🙃

Punta Roja from Colombia was one of the first other high THC strains to hit America.

The tins were common as when transported they did not put off a heat signature from inside the tin that could be detected.
