In search of the Ultimate JS Bach Repository: Contender found…!!!

Featured Replies

Dear Folks,

During the past two decades, or so, I have been able to locate audio files from some of the available JS Bach “sets” purporting to represent most of JS Bach’s works.

The problems with the ones I have found, to date, is that the recordings are not well enough done for my taste, and the included selections are often mixed up, not to mention not being complete enough for my true enjoyment.

Serendipitously, just the other day, while searching for some WTC, including Books One and Two, I found what is termed the 333 2018 production/collection (Bach 333). I am impressed with it, and it does seem to be somewhat perfect, if not the final, FINAL collection which I expect to see 350 years after the elevation of Bach to the heavens, the day he breathed his last breath.

This newer collection happens to be just over 80 GBytes in size.

Yet, since many seem to enjoy it, it comes down very fast if you have a good connection.

I would suggest you download it if you enjoy Bach.

I believe you will not regret doing so.

Where can you find this volume of files?

I will provide the link here. https://rutracker.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5999832

I am very fortunate to have found this one.

Having found this, and having added it to two of my desktops, this partially restores my faith in Mankind, after having it so shattered by recent developments at OpenAI.

I believe that an AI would not have been able to create the music of JS Bach without the human experience, and the religious experience of Bach. Bach worked tirelessly to glorify his God. One need not be religious in order to gain a religious experience in the listening.

If you wish to know more about this production, then you can search for it on Amazon, and there you will be able to read the reviews which are staggeringly good.

This will be the only big collection of its type that I will ever need.

Once you download this, then it will be a welcome addition to your collection of Bach music.

Well, as I often say, don’t say I never gave you nothing.

Best regards,

Gamma

Note:  You can get this on your computer, maybe, if you begin now, in time for a Sunday listening.

I inadvertently added misinformation to this Topic when I implied that the naming of Bach 333 was named for the number of years following Bach's death.

Of course, the year 2018 marked the point in time 333 years following the Birth of Bach.

Perhaps we should have a special calendar based on the Birth of Bach, and I would like to see the world use such a calendar.

But why choose to release this production in the 333rd year?

IDK, but here is one guess I might have: The vinyl records that we used to love rotated at 33.3 rotations per minute. This is all that comes to mind, at the moment.

Sometimes, rarely, I refuse to rise to the bait, is all.

I never joke around when it comes to JS Bach.

You could make an exception for someone who wrote Air on a G string. 555

I personally prefer the guy who wrote Get Back.

I have done a GREAT SERVICE to all members here on TV today.

I have found a difficult-to-find and precious, not to mention UPLIFTING, resource.

I have provided the link.

Have you taken advantage of this gift I have afforded you?

Tomorrow is Sunday, as far as I know.

Take a few hours to listen to JS Bach, and get religion, the RIGHT way.

If you don't know what I mean by this: Read more R. Dawkins.

Or, take time to enjoy the butterflies, next time you see a few.

Let your heart sing.

No chance as you seem to have recommend it and as such it would be too repulsive to someone of my delicate sensibilities!!

I do hope that it means that you have promised to stop posting anymore nonsensical rubbish on AN!

PS; And all the other postings as well!
