I have nothing against new posters. I am still one in many ways.

Though, they are sometimes quite funny. When they come in with an attack on an experienced member I sometimes have to laugh as I think I can feel the pain coming...

Here's one that I just spotted: Post 21 is the guy I fear for.

Nahhhh . he has nothing to fear. I'm in a good mood today. It's my birthday.

Happy B/Day Brake Pad! :o

Besides, being attacked by some of these people is like being savaged by a kitten.

Happy Birthday Bendix. :D

Have a great evening, can I penpal you offer 60baht for a big beer chang. :o

p.s. I'd be lying if I didn't admit to be slightly disappointed at your gentle reply.

A very happy B Day to ya Bendix, I always enjoy your posts!

We have a dweeb who comes up every now and then. He got into a discussion with Austhaied in the CM TV party thread and then put up a new topic. I don't think Austhaied read it closely and assumed it was a legit post gardening supplies.

There's another new poster, I think called Dupoint who comes out with a lot of anti-Arab stuff. He might have been banned by now. I caught a couple of his thread, but they were deleted within 5 minutes.

I'll try and find a thread...

Happy Birthday Bendix. :D

I was disappointed too jasreeve. I know I have a reputation to live up to but, well, dammit, one can't be brilliantly cutting all the time, can one?

Sometimes, alas, even I am touched by the milk of human kindness (and all that <deleted>)

Happy Birthday Bendix. if you like I can offer some Milk Chocolate as my gesture of kindness? :o

I wouldn't worry about him.

I thought the riposte was amusing and an excellent match for Bendix's wry humour (you may take that as a backhand compliment if you wish MrB).

Now that is funny! Serial killers bread & butter. :o

Was it actually aimed at Austhaied?

Happy b-day "Supplier of air brake and filtration systems to the heavy-duty commercial vehicle industry."

Probably. Although i doubt it, as i answered his post, not vice versa.

There's always one knob in a crowd. :D

I actually said 'happy birthday' to you in the other thread but what the hel_l, you deserve a bit of spoiling on your birthday. Happy Birthday

Bud

Hey you, there is only room for one MrB on this forum :D

but seeing as it's his birthday he can adopt it for today :D

Happy birthday Bendover Bendix :o:D

Yes, happy birthday Bendix. You have benefitted the rest of us by forcing the rest of us smartasses to raise our game a little higher. Enjoy your day :o

Ain't that the truth! :o

Many happy belated returns, Bendix! One day, I am sure, we will sip wine by a river and debate Greene versus Maugham. You really should open other doors more often.

Dunno Sir Burr looks like you're blowing your own trumpet there a little as well as turning a possible discussion into a chance to score points.

I don't deny that you are obviously very knowledgable, but pointing out the obvious regarding market forces and oversimplifiying the essence of the OP doesn't really make you come accross as anything other than an arrogant bore.

A real quality line from Dupont though did make it worth reading; We come here to get poor as slowely as possible, not to make our fortunes.

Marvellous :o

Careful, sometimes a handbag strap breaks and an audience member winds up getting hurt. :D

Yup....you've got me pegged :o

Has this got anything to do with you having your head handed to you on TD by any chance? You were very insulting to a lady. You came off looking like an arrogant bore actually.

Certainly not, I read the thread you linked to and that was my honest opinion, I don't have anything against you or Khall and i think her OP was a valid opening to what could have been a reasonable discussion, if slightly naive in light of the fact that she got completely slated and patronised by you and others.

If you would like to point out where i got my head handed to me on a plate in TD I would be most grateful, if so it wasn't any of your doing so there's no element of sour grapes between me and you. I made my point clear there with Jet (insulting to a lady? well that's the kind of PC bs i expect on TV) and my posts where deleted, but I'm sure she got the message and I did too so that's as far as it goes.

NBL I dunno which forum to post this on but I'll do it here for now.

I think Terry got his head handed to him slightly more than Rob, TBH.

Terry btw, who has his moments - very few and far between, that keep me wanting to like him - seems to shoot himself in the foot a bit often. Like I say, his moments are few and far between but I think I've got a glimpse of him being a pretty decent bloke in real life, if a bit of a teen online.

Anyway, Rob;s a laugh and a half and a mate of mine, and as such, I enjoy reading his decreasingly-sporadic rants against all things he doesn't like - and as he knows, I may not always or even often agree, but he and I can agree to disagree blah blah.... Point is, he slates people in a cruelly eloquent manner, and I enjoy reading words strung well together.

Sir Burr, I've increasingly enjoyed reading more of lately. I like it when he takes his gloves off too.

Khall's a friend who sometimes doesn't express herself very well, doesn't like it when things don't go her way (who does?) and other times goes on the defence too quickly and far too voraciously.

Jet... Well, I haven't got enough bandwith or virtual memory at the moment... :D

:o Phew... t'was good to get that off the hairy chest. This seems to be the right thread too.

No , you're getting confused again.

The kissy kissy thread is t'other one.

WHEN will you listen to people who tell you not to drink and smoke that stuff at the same time.

This thread is about noobs snapping at one's ankles.

I saw a name at the bottom of the screen one time and opened a "happy birthday" thread.

A few joined in , and then comes dickwad who accused me of opening the thread so I could get in birthday girl's pants.

Now I've never met the lady so I have no idea whether her pants are worth the effort of getting into (maybe dickwad knows something I don't) and being one of life's gentlemen the idea would never have occurred to me. Anyway it seemed totally inappropriate to further mar the thread by responding.

Another time there was a thread about a US report claiming x% of American fathers would prefer their daughter married a black man than an atheist. At some point I made an inane post about atheists and foxholes and dickwad2 tells me to "Get back to Russia you f*cking kommonist". Now there , for a brief instant , I wished I was Bendix and could conjure up a witty but totally crushing response. But I'm not , so I didn't.

:o

PS Klown - It's not true that the punchdrunk pugilist will "fight anyone". Some spats are beneath even me.

:D

I don't mind a noobie who see's something awry or skiw-iff in one of the "power member's" posts & has the balls to stand up, say his piece in a clear & articulate manner (provacasional or not).

The ones I hate are the "you don't know what you are saying you numbnuts" personas who have no argument to back up their position.

Occasionally provocative ?

Help me out.

I know I'm not keeping up with all the new English words.

I'm scared of ending up like Chaucer trying to understand rap.
