Trump's State of the Union - everything is wonderful and magnificent under my rule, except of a few problems which ICE is dealing with - next year will be even greater.

The blubbering cry fest err the state of the union starts soon wonder how many porkers he tells on this one!Im also expecting some major distraction as well,perhaps pulling out of nato or something like that…ah well popcorn at the ready.

I've glanced through the BBC coverage so far.

Perhaps better called the State of The Donald address? Rather a narcissistic stream of consciousness than a report on performance.

The one thing it very obviously doesn't seek to address is "union" - it all seems very divisive!

Another “critical moment? ” I think not!

We’ve heard it all before. Last year’s State of the Union was full of "great" promises of a booming economy, safer streets, America first, all that.

And now we'll be told the same old same old - everything is going to be great again!

Maybe it will, maybe not, but it feels like déjà vu with the Epstein controversy thrown in for good measure. The speech will no doubt sound big and bold, but the real test is whether those promises actually turn into something tangible this time.

Shame on the republicans, instead of sitting and only get up for a standing ovation, they should have stood for the whole show.

He failed in his first term and he is failing, even more badly, in his second. He's not going to be able to turn around any of the things mentioned in the article; indeed, he could care less about most of them. The remainder of his term will be spent trying to name more things after himself and trying to hold on to his Grand Master of Grifting rating--with Melania hot on his heels to overtake him. Of one thing we can be sure, he will easily retain his Worst President in US History rating, with the added cachet of doing it not once, but twice. Likely a record that will stand forever.
