Israelis No Longer Ahead in Americans' Middle East Sympathies

Featured Replies

A historic shift has taken place in the sympathies of the American public regarding what's happening in the Middle East, and specifically what's happening between Israelis and Palestinians.

IMO, the Israelis only have themselves (and Netanyahu) to blame. After the Hamas terror attack on 7th of October 2023, sympathy for Israel was probably at an all time high, but in 2.5 years they've managed to completely squander it by going on a rampage, killing thousands of women, children and men. It's almost as if they think they're completely bullet proof due to the strong and frankly puzzling support they get from administration after administration.

Well, that might be about to change.

'Israelis No Longer Ahead in Americans' Middle East Sympathies'

https://news.gallup.com/poll/702440/israelis-no-longer-ahead-americans-middle-east-sympathies.aspx

" Forty-one percent of Americans now say they sympathize more with the Palestinians in the Middle East situation, while 36% sympathize more with the Israelis. The five-percentage-point difference is not statistically significant, but it contrasts with a clear lead for the Israelis only a year ago (46% vs. 33%) and larger leads over the prior 24 years.

From 2001 to 2025, Israelis consistently held double-digit leads in Americans’ Middle East sympathies, with the gap averaging 43 points between 2001 and 2018. However, public opinion began narrowing in 2019, several years before the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel and the subsequent war in Gaza. The cumulative effect of gradual changes in U.S. attitudes since then has led to the Israelis no longer being viewed more sympathetically."

Here is a visualization from Gallup showing American support for the two groups over several years.

And now they have just attacked Iran of course they can only do that because Big Daddy has 2 Carrier Strike Groups in the neighbourhood.

It's becoming clear why the carriers were sent now. Is this going to be the start of another Middle East war? are other countries going too get involved ?

It's been reported that China might have supplied Iran with powerful anti-ship missiles. Imagine if one of those get a direct hit on one of the carriers.

That might be what Trump is hoping for, so that he can declare a national emergency and postpone/cancel the midterms.

Iran is now getting whacked waves of cruise missiles passing over Iraq with the supreme leaders gaff first to be leveled 🤔
