Takeaways from the attack on Iran:

If you're the president of a country that has just started a war, don't arrange and attend glitzy fundraisers just as news of dead and seriously wounded soldiers come in.

Takeaways from the attack on Iran:

When making a decision on whether to attack or not, listen to advice from professionals who actually know what the frack they're talking about about.

It also helps not to fire those who tell you inconvenient truths.

Here are my takeaways:

  1. Soviet/Russian and by extension, Chinese AD is worthless in the face of mutli layered properly planned strikes. This bodes ill for Chinese desires to unify Taiwan.

2. Israel is our attack dog. If you are going to have an ally to help you do your dirty work, have the best and the only military in the world that compares is us. Maybe the Finns and ROKs and a couple of Brit Regiments. In todays world, Israel stands out. They are basicly doing our work (1200 strikes vs 900, they use air we use missles.)

NOTE: 24/7 air coverage has been announced over Iran. That means there is no AD at all. That means we control the skies.

  1. #2 relates to point 1. Mossad is everywhere. What they dont know, we do. Im sure Kim is worried. Vlad isnt happy either.

4. Europe blew it. They should have joined in backslapping then extracted some concessions on Ukraine. Irans defeat helps Ukraines. Thats because there is no Europe, only feuding little countries.

5. Hitting Dubai was a huge mistake.

6. Saudi Arabia will have a peace treaty in a year with Israel.

You should get a job at Fox News as a guest political scientist and foreign affairs expert. wink

Of course Trump mocked a disabled person. Only MAGAs are too dumb or blind not to see reality. THAT is "peak stupidity.

As for his bone spurs, there are plenty of videos long before AI Deep Fakes came along that show Trump playing tennis during that time. Plus, bone spurs are not a disability. Cerebral palsy is.

These are Iranian emigres living in the US, not followers of the regime. Surprised you're not asking for them to be rounded up and deported someplace, because they're not American.

Iran likely has good intel on the numbers and location of Patriot systems. Not all Gulf countries are equally protected. The UAE is probably most vulnerable, and in the UAE, Dubai. Iran will likely target the Burj Khalifa. Iran may slow its retaliation against Israel, and concentrate its missiles and drones against Gulf states.

The Gulf states cannot get deeply involved, because their populations are not particularly enamored of Israel. They will see this war as a war against Moslems. The monarchies of the Sheikh-lets are thus at risk. The more damage Iran can do to Gulf nations, the greater the likelihood those nations will demand a cease fire.

Iran already hit Ras Tanura, which takes out 500K bbl/day of Saudi exports. News of that juiced crude futures and took another hundred points off Dow futures. Expect more hits on production facilities, including GOSPs.

So far Yemen has been quiet, but that may not last. Shutting down Hormuz shipping is bad. Shutting down Red Sea shipping compounds the problem. Insurers are going to pull coverage on vessels.

Another key insight is identifying who really supports the state sponsor of terrorism (while labeling the US and Israel as aggressors), yet those same backers conveniently ignore the regime's recent slaughter of thousands of its own citizens. So, who's truly the aggressor here?

<laughs> So goes the US Propaganda News Network which Americans dutifully swallow like good boys and girls.

So-called "enemies" of the US all have the same traits which are amplified, hyped, and echoed to the US population via main-stream news - Truth is fungible. Here's the template. Wash, rinse, repeat ad-infinitum:
All are called "dictatorship" even when they are constitutional republics and democracies.
All "kill their own people" by the thousands (the propaganda IS the evidence)
All are "terrorists" or "war criminals" (because the US says so)
All are seeking to kill innocent Americans if they are allowed to get [enter weapons of mass destruction here]
All "oppress their citizens" (evidence not required)
All are called "aggressor nations" (even when the US and its allies do the same thing)

Soviet Union
North Korea
Vietnam
Cambodia
Myamar

Iraq
Yugoslavia

Libya
Somolia
Sudan
Most of Africa
Lebanon
All Palestinians (Gaza, West Bank)
Cuba
Venezuela
Most non-aligned Latin American countries
Most non-aligned African nations
Most non-aligned nations of Asia
All nations which have resources America wants but refuse to bend a knee to US hegemony
Russia

China
And on and on and on.

Only America and it's EU/UK/CA/AU/NZ/JP allies are democracy loving, liberty-minded, bastions of peace and good-will....yada yada yada.

Ya'll swallow your home-country's propaganda, spread it, and come back for more slop. <sigh>
America - the shining city on the hill. They utter hypocrisy is enough to make you retch 🤮

Here's me thinking that this OP was a follow on to the one about Grab, Linesman drivers from Iran, and an Indian. Silly me.

There is a lesson here: Don't become the host of one of the 800+ US military bases around the world. When the globe gets sick and tired of the global adventurism of Team America - World Police, suddenly the host countries begin to understand that when Team America - World Police attacks other countries unprovoked that those countries will retaliate against the countries hosting Team America - World Police.

Trump is only 1 year into his term. I imagine he'll be taking on Russia and China, as well as most of the BRICS before his term is up, then hosting Team America - World Police will be fraught with consequences. It's probably a good time to rethink those partnerships. Thank goodness there are no US military bases in Thailand other than U-Tapao, and I'm nowhere near U-Tapao.

@boganJoe certain terms are being used by you in a manner that is both antagonising and inflammatory. It is important to recognise that the issue lies not in the terms and acronyms themselves or the validity of what they stand for, but in the derogatory context in which they are most being employed.

The acronym "TDS," standing for "Trump Derangement Syndrome," or you simply using “derangement “ is not a recognised medical condition but rather an urban phrase. It is being used by you as a means to belittle or mock individuals with differing political views. Such usage is inherently derogatory and contributes to a toxic conversational environment and stops now.

It seems several US military aircraft have been lost, but it's yet unclear how it happened.

I would not put much stock in people celebrating in the streets.

If Iran were to bomb the White House, the Pentagon or Mar-a-Lago there would be tens of thousands of Americans celebrating in the streets.

To what extent were/are the Iranian Air Defense systems provided by, trained by and even advised (manned) by Russia or China. How modern are they, the latest systems or 40 year old "export spec" Soviet systems?

I don't know, I'm far from current in such matters, you seem to be, perhaps you can explain?

They use SA20 Gargoyles. Whatever their age, we know they dont work in the face of a technically proficient properly planned combined arms strike. that only two militaries in the world can pull off.

Hardware is hardware but planning, experience, tactics and doctrine are priceless.

It was likely all AI. T this point, per the left, Trump is completely delusional, can barely stand, and has to wear a diaper.

Putin and his lap-dog Netanyahu are no doubt calling the shots.

takeaways from the Iran strike:

Remember the 6 dem congress members trying to cause dissension.

Military loyalty demonstrated: The Iran operation appears as a real world test of adhering to the chain of command under Trump. , total compliance, unified effort, and no signs of internal resistance or refusal to execute orders from the Commander & Chief. The strikes have involved massive scale without dissention , fractures in discipline.

America resolve can't be deterred or persuaded by radical far left dem's .

Really?

Did you receive a predictive text from C Kirk about that ? Or was it forwarded by Paula White?

So Trump started this war, and then just dropped off the radar. Same with Vance and Rubio. This is the opposite of what happened after the Maduro kidnapping, where they held a joint crowing press conference as soon as Maduro was on his way to the US.

The reason is obvious. As usual, Trump didn't listen to his generals or other advisors from outside his inner circle of sycophants, and went with his gut.

Things started going sideways quickly. The top guys in the Iranian government got vapourised, but the regime didn't crumble.

What happened was that instead of going all out hitting Israel, the Iranians threw out the rules book and started going after all US bases in the region.

Now, all the countries in the gulf housing US bases are pi**ed off because they see the US is focusing solely on protecting their own bases and Israel, not a single battery is protecting e.g. downtown Dubai.

In addition, it turns out Iran had a lot more longs range missiles and drones than was estimated, and since Trump didn't listen to those who said that the US air defence inventory wasn't up for a contracted conflict, the Pentagon are now sweating bullets over the fact that the Iranian regime shows no sign of weakening, and that this war probably isn't over any time soon.

FAFO, indeed.

It is the motions he makes when imitating someone saying dumb stuff. Countless videos of him making identical motions impersonating non-retards. Quick search on youtube and you can inform yourself, or just keep on with the false narrative to bash him with. Your choice

Yeah, so. Technology doesnt defeat sanfus, it lessens them and builds in future snafu prevention. All of the crashes so far are deemed friendly fire, I dont know more that that

You can take down an F35 with an RPG if you can get close enough

That was not AI. If it was then the Trump administration would have let us know.

Everything else you wrote is true. Well done!thumbsup
