How and when will Iran revenge itself on the USA ?

Featured Replies

The USA military are fully extended hammering Iranian military but with wide and vast collateral damage in Iran. Yet there remains, apparently, very little support for Trump's decision to go to war, among the citizens of the USA at home.

The Iranian regime lives on. Talk of the USA putting 'troops on the ground' seems to me, to be a fantasy. The IRGC have 150,000 armed militia and a lot of wider support too. A massive deployment of troops would be needed. Does Trump envisage say, 100,000 troops being deployed in Iran? That'll go down like a lead ballon with the wider Republican Party and Americans at home.

The question remains - when and how will Iran attack the USA direct? The Mullahs are notoriously determined, vengeful and ruthless. The USA homeland has been so far largely untouched by war, (whilst Iran itself looks increasingly like Gaza).

Iran will surely, somehow, sometime, take it's revenge on the USA itself. What a bag of worms the dreadful Trump has so brainlessly unleashed on the World!

If Iran doesn't do it it's self.

Then it will be an Israeli false flag to try and sway public opinion towards support for the war.

Of course Iran will strike back…in the near future and over the next decade. They will take a long term view.

Somebody will blow up a McDonalds or a Starbucks in Paris. Somebody else will walk into a bar frequented by US Military personnel in Germany and shoot it up. Somebody will figure out how to take down an airline with a bunch of lithium batteries. Somebody will stab some fat western expats in Pattaya. Israeli or American diplomats in New Delhi will be blown up in their car. Israel will have another 7 October.

We will call it terrorism; they will call it retribution.

Terrorism by its nature is asymmetrical warfare. It is how those without thousand pound bombs and Cruise missiles fight back and feel some sort of satisfaction via retribution.

Frankly, it’s no different than 6 January 2021. Trump lost. Democracy beat him, and he hated democracy for its win. He felt powerless. He found a way to fight back, calling his goobers to DC for no reason other than to try to overturn the election results, and then held his rally on the Mall telling them to march to the Capitol and “fight like Hell”. Trump is an idiot, but even an idiot had to know his goobers would turn violent. Obviously, that was his intent from when he first Tweeted “It’ll be WILD!!!!!”.

Terrorists always have an excuse, claiming the “other side” started it. It becomes a chicken or egg sort of thing. Also, terrorists who win are called “Freedom Fighters”, like the Irgun and the Stern Gang, the leader of which went on to become Prime Minister. The terrorist head of the PLO went on to be invited to Camp David, and he became a fashion icon sporting a three day growth, establishing a trend that continues to this day. Terrorists who lose or die, become “martyrs” and have their image adorning t-shirts in the night market, whether Che Guevara or Osama bin Laden.

Iran will fight back, long after Trump defines “victory” and then claims he achieved it. Of course terrorism rarely affects the Epstein Class, just as modern war never results in the children of the Epstein Class ever paying a price. Barron Trump will never hit the beaches of Bandar Abbas. (Hat tip to Prince Harry, who did go into harm’s way on behalf of the Coalition of the Willing.)

Like a lightning bolt, be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and you will die for what Trump believes in. It is what it is.

With ICE's activities over recent months, potential tourists have been advised/warned (sometime by their governments) not to travel to the USA. Associated with this, some have been advised/warned not to go to the USA for this year's FIFA World Cup matches.

Now, after the Fascist USA-Genocidal Israel attacks Iran, once imagines another set of warnings about travel to the USA travel will be issued.

America is safe says Trump!! But as we know, President TALA (Trump Always Lies, Always), aka President TACO, is not to be trusted.

Someone tried to throw a nail bomb in New York today. 2 have been arrested.

Luckily the bomb attempt failed.

Kansas City Airport evacuated over bomb threat as well.

No credible threat was found.

Must be bad if even the sleeper cells sit this one out.

I just hope they don't kill innocents like at easter markets, shopping malls, churches,...

There are enough high value targets with maximum impact and low loss of life.

This is fantasy from 1980's Hollywood movies, produced, written and directed by ****

They will kill some women and children, thats what they do. Sad, but pinpricks.

Whatever the Islamists do was going to be done anyway. This war started in 1979. coffee1

Yeah, but they don't care - they'll just pay some compensation and it'll be fine, right? I seem to remember someone saying that about the schoolgirls - they don't care and they'll get compensation. Oh wait, that wasn't Iran, that was you.

There a difference between intent and accident in any form of law. So your analogy, as always, is childishly silly

Revenge or avenge?

If tosspot does put troops in there, let them be your own—American, Israeli. Don’t drag anyone else into this sht!

Richard Painter, an attorney who served as the chief ethics lawyer in the George W. Bush White House, said the apparent US strike “could be criminal negligence in a war that was illegal to begin with.”

https://www.commondreams.org/news/preliminary-findings-iran-school-bombing

hes entitled to his opinion. I dont share it

U.S. Central Command attacked the school based on long outdated coordinates for the strike provided by another defense agency, one of the officials told The Intercept. While the Shajarah Tayyebeh elementary school was once connected to the IRGC base by roads, the building was partitioned off by 2016, according to an investigation by New Lines Magazine

The attack, which came after a yearlong effort by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to gut programs to reduce civilian casualties, killed more civilians than any other strike in Trump’s second Iran war. It was “colossal negligence,” one of the current government officials said.

Thanks to those helpful replies on topic, but Yagoda, as always, I find your contributions trite and foolish . . .

E.g. the 'pinpricks' comment - well let's hope the'pinpricks do not affect you and yours in any way, I doubt any of the bereaved will see it that way. And, 'sick martydom fantasy' is a foolish characterisation of one of the World's leading religions.

The 'gung ho' attitude behind the USA/Israel's action in Iran/Lebanon is deplorable and those on the receiving end are being treated in a murderous uncaring way. How does Trump escape this madness now that Israel has been unleashed and Iran is NOT just rolling over, in the style of Venezuela?

There's NO room for complacency as OUR World goes to hell in a handcart !

Yagoda - 'your side' ? Is that what it's about?

Whatever your political leaning, you should still be able to assess the rights and wrongs of what's going on!

Get back to your playground. Childish stuff from you.

Rights and wrongs? Yeah the USA is right. Iran and its supporters are wrong.

Sure and the official report on the incident can be labeled: INCONCLUSIVE

Preliminary report courtesy Alfred Lord Tennyson (1854)

“Forward, the Light Brigade!”

Was there a man dismayed?

Not though the soldier knew

Someone had blundered.

Don’t forget the girls schools, civilians, ‘collateral damage’.
