Jeffrey Sachs seems like a disinfo agent to me. Or an idiot. I'm not even sure there is such a thing as WW3. I think it's just fear-mongering. Anyway, a quick search of some of his Youtube video title

  • This is why other countries must follow Spain's lead and not get involved.

I'm not saying Sachs is always wrong. but his persistent repeating of Kremlin narratives about the Russia - Ukraine war very much disgusts me. It makes me question his credibility about anything he says.

In the meantime Eu sending resources to cyprus including Netherland, France, Spain and Uk. Latest Turkey was attacked by a missil from Iran which was shot down by Nato, just a matter of time and we are drawn in to the war either we want it or not.

In the meantime, China leans back and do what ? Putin threatening gas deliveries to Europe.

I'm not even sure there is such a thing as WW3. I think it's just fear-mongering.

Anyway, a quick search of some of his Youtube video titles:

"Trump is unhinged", "WW3 has started and America is lost".

No, Trump is not unhinged and America is not lost and it's not the start of WW3.

This is fear-mongering / misinformation.

Good luck with all of that.

If we are talking about the current war in the Persian Gulf, perhaps a better title for the thread, from the US perspective, would be "We have started World War 3" - perhaps prefaced a la Britney Spears with "Oops I did it again!"

At the moment it looks likely the gulf states won't get involved. Also the western countries are not involved in any aggression, only defensive.

I think that will not change, so no, not WW3.

Well with the nato proxy war in the ukraine and now

the axes of evil attacking Iran (and Venezuela) , cutting

off oil to China , we are not far from a potential W3.

Jeffrey Sachs also has another video "China and Russia cannot afford to let Iran fail".

So why haven't they stepped in yet?

Sorry, I don't trust Jeffrey Sach's geopolitical analysis.

Not unhinged? The raving mad dog is a village idiot lunatic. Should be locked up in a mental hospital ward in a straightjacket.

What is the alternative, to let Iran continue developing nuclear weapons and intercontinental ballistic missiles?

Their nuclear program was obliterated a few months ago, just ask trump.

This is an "alleged" map of their NUKE-U-LAR sh*t, supposedly.

Or so we are told.

The alternatives were 1) for Trump to have not torn up the original 2015 agreement with Iran during his first term as President, the terms of which all interested parties - including the US - agreed Iran was complying with and 2) for Trump to have reinstated this agreement during this term in office.

Mr. Sachs is a shill for the PRC. This is the man who defended China's expansionism in SE Asia and who defended the Chinese forced resettlement of its muslim minority into labour camps. This man worked for the Wuhan laboratory and intentionally made false claims that Covid originated in the USA and not China. He has zero credibility.

The JCPOA would have expired in 2025, and in any event, I meant the alternative today.

And as you know, the agreement never limited Iran's development of intercontinental ballistic missiles.

But they already started rebuilding it, and the intercontinental ballistic missile was not obliterated.

You can't destroy knowledge. Last year's obliteration was a mistake and a failure, this year's war that can't be called a war is a mistake and will turn out to be a failure.

Why was it a mistake, and how was it a failure?

So, what is the alternative? Do you believe Iran should be allowed to continue developing nuclear weapons and intercontinental ballistic missiles?

Russia gets most of its oil from Siberia. China gets most from Russia. Iran isnt that important to them.

As I understand it, China was getting about 20% of their oil from Iran, if true, that's pretty important.

There is an over supply of oil. They can buy it elsewhere.

There is no reason why the JCPOA could not have been extended.

Any agreement to limit Iran's development of intercontinental ballistic missiles would be more difficult. Presumably Iran would require some reciprocal agreement re Israeli missile capability? An opportunity for President Trump to use his famed powers of persuasion.

The US would like to apologise for being late to WW I and II,

so will be early to WW III to make up for it.

Bout time they kick it up a notch.

I'll grab some beers and popcorn.

You are probably right.

And the US and Trump are not a bunch of deranged lunatics.

I'm sure they calculated that neither Russia or China would get involved, or they would not have pulled the trigger.

No one wants WW3. Not that they care about human lives. It's just bad for business.

A lot of (most?) Iranians are cheering the death of Khomeini and partying.
