Venezuela Beats US To Become World Champions In Baseball

Baseball is your national sport. Hockey is Canada's. 42% of players in the NHL are Canadian. 28% USA, despite being 10x larger 🤣 Really doesn't matter where the teams are located. Canucks are making bank in the NHL. The random few USA athletes which choose ice hockey over the Big Three USA sports are playing on Canada's rink 😉

Baseball is not my national sport but good effort. So almost a third of players playing in a league based almost entirely in their own country are a random few ? How about the AHL the farm league for the NHL. I wonder how many of those teams are also based in the USA.

Canada's rink ? You mentioned the other 3. So what about the NBA. Its also a Canadian game but dominated by american players. Playing almost exclusively in american cities.

Ooops.

American football and baseball are played by kids here, then fed into high Schools, then college, then pros. American players usually come out of colleges. Canadian kids play hockey and are are fed to the pros via Junior Leagues, unless they go to college in the USA (rare). The Finns and Scandanavians are also fed in by junior leagues. There are very few Canadians in baseball and football

Correct. They come to my hometown to play. Its the mecca of junior hockey.

The old days in junior hockey were wild. Folks fought their way into the NHL.

I was lucky enough to grow up watching so many of the greats. Hockey has changed now though. The skill level is off the charts. Its a much more serious game.

The skill is unreal these days. I was watching games from past and they looked slow in comparison to the modern game.

If they love baseball so much why dont they stay in Venezuela and play locally for money ? Why do 19 of them play in MLB?

Nonsense, how many soccer players play in their own country?

I watched a cliip a few weeks back of a play by Gretzky vs someone in the league now. Very similar plays so the comparison was good. Its exactly as you said....Gretzky looked like he was skating in slo mo. Unreal.

Technology has increased the speed. Skates are a lot different. Training methods too, which in the old days was a cigarette and beer. Pure goonerism like the old Flyers just cant do it, you have to be skilled too.

I think hockey players are the best and toughest atheletes in team sports

The hockey season will be over soon.

No it won't. Stanley Cup drags on into June. Training camps start in September. KHL season starts in september.

The indoor leagues go all year long.

Is this true? Can anyone who watched the game confirm this? It does fit with what's been written by the US team though.

Great choice of avatars! Bravo!

The best part is that you are helplessly screeching and we are winning. Sort of like all of your posts

Who are the "we" you are talking about and where is the winning taking place?
