Yeah I don't think foreign coaches should be allowed.

It's weird having a coach refusing the sing the national anthem because he isn't from that nation.

It's a key part of the team. Should be English same as the players.

What next? Foreign goalkeepers? Up to 2 foreign outfield players? Buying players from other nations with a transfer fee and a quick passport swap?

Not for me.

Yes, probably shouldn't be allowed.

Also, players like Mbappe ... they may have scouts going to Africa to recruit talent and then bring them over to France at a young age and paying for all their training? We'll never know ... and I guess it's perfectly legit ...

Yes England lost.

You could see which team was going to win during the national anthems. Argentina were united, every single man bellowing out the anthem with pride, real togetherness and team spirit.

England looked like a rag tag bunch of strangers, some singing it, some pretending to sing it, some looking embarrassed. The German coach totally ignoring it.

And what played out? Both teams were mediocre technically, yet Argentina totally dominated the second half with tenacity and determination.

A victory for patriotism and homogeneity. For determination and togetherness. Well done Argentina. You deserved it. Tuchel got it all wrong. Hopefully we can get an English coach next time. Maybe Eddie Howe.

Sorry, I meant to say Diversity is our greatest strength 3 times. 😄

Well at least you’re not yet blaming Burnham.

Burnham is probably better qualified and more deserved to be England's next Manager than England's next PM.

So what happened?

The Jamaican team lost?

Just messin' wit u guys! LOL.

At least they didn't take the knee this time.

Didn't see any rainbow armbands either.

That's progress I guess. They just need to learn from Argentina how to sing your national anthem. I guess they don't get browbeaten into hating their own country/culture over there.

Well done Argentina. They got it right on so many levels. They've even got a great PM who came to power democratically. Maradona, Messi, Milei. Past to present. Real men. Patriots. Not Woke simps like our rag tag bunch of disparate mercenaries led by a German.

Djed Spence was superb last night, tearing down the wing, a joy to watch.

The Argentinian players were all riled up about The Falklands, even unfurling a banner on the pitch post game.

That was clearly against FIFA rules every Argentinian player there should now get a 3 match ban.

Now is the time for every England supporter to get behind Spain.

At least we won't have to read the vomit inducing Guardian opinion pieces lauding diversity had we won it.

Can you imagine if Bellingham had scored the winner in the final. You'd never hear the end of it. It was already starting on here, although predictably all the "Diversity is our greatest strength" mob who were pretending to like football aren't blaming diversity now that France and England got spanked by largely homogenous teams in the semis. In fact, they've largely disappeared. 😄

Another one way street. 😄

You really are a nasty piece of work, You manage to turn a discussion about a football match into a discussion about race. You never miss even the smallest opportunity to push your hate-filled agenda.

"(Argentina) got it right on so many levels". Ultimately, Argentina deserved to win but for +/-60 mins, they never looked like scoring. The one thing that we agree on is that Tuchel got it badly wrong: Konsa for Gordon was a disastrous substitution which handed Argentina total control of possession and territory. The following substitutions just compounded the problem. However, Tuchel didn't get it wrong because he is a German who didn't sing the national anthem as you insinuate without explicitly saying, he made very poor tactical decisions. It's as simple as that.

You dismiss the England squad as just a " .... rag tag bunch of disparate mercenaries" which is insulting enough in its' own right, but you compound that "observation" with the one that some of the England players didn't bellow the national anthem out at the top of their voices. Again, the insinuations but not the explicit statement: Black players can't be patriotic. A victory for homogeneity you say: Another sly, snide, thinly veiled racist comment.

For all your misplaced, self-pitying grievance about the plight of the white, indigenous, English working-class male and self-professed love of country, I doubt that - unlike members of that group or the overwhelming majority of the rest of the 55m English (be they white, black, brown or sky blue pink), you felt even an inkling of disappointment at the final whistle. Probably the reverse. I imagine that you felt unbridled joy.

You are positively revelling in Argentina's victory, not because you have any great love of that country or team, but simply because they beat a team representing YOUR country which happened to contain a number of black players.

To misquote Jim Royle: 'Patriot, my arse'. You are nothing more than a racist and a xenophobe.

More hate-filled, thinly disguised racist bile.

Given the make-up of the English and French teams, Saturday's match must induce nightmares for you.

Just a shame it isn't the final.

Nobody wants to live in Argentina. Terrible inflation. one of my my friend's daughter married an Argentinian and they both moved to Spain, along with his parents, to escape the Argentinian economy.

Argentina’s annual inflation rate sits at 33.5% as of June 2026, with the monthly inflation rate at 1.9%.

Once again Racist Ray sees racism where none exists. 😄

If I said yes to milk in my coffee you'd be like "ah, so you DO hate black people, you prefer white - I know you didn't say it but you insinuated it - I know exactly what you are thinking, you racist bigot".

Meanwhile you actively/openly promote discrimination against white people under the guise of DEI.

If only Reform were in charge they might bring in the Lord's Prayer to be recited before each match - that would sort it.

Say the Lord's Prayer three times.

Your attempts to deviate attention away from the points which I raise are becoming increasingly desperate, nonsensical and pathetic.

The implicit racism in your posts is so pronounced that even the most bone-headed of people can't fail to notice it.

You are a racist and a xenophobe, Jonny. At least have the honesty to admit it.

More deviation.

England's performance last night was nothing like "cowardly" and for +/-60 mins it was successful. Ultimately, a failure due to poor tactical decisions.

I'll applaud a match-winning performance from any player irrespective of their race, colour or creed. I doubt that hand-on-heart you can honestly say the same.

Hopefully, Argentina and Spain can provide a good match on Sunday. May the best team win.

England did not convince against Norway, and yesterday Argentina wore their hearts on their sleeves. They earned a well-deserved victory.

It was cowardly from the moment they scored. Didn't launch another attack. Tried to win 1-0 by defending the edge of their 6 yard box. Substitutions were awful as well.

Me too. I'm colour blind (unfashionable now) that's why I detest your DEI racism and identity politics so much. John Barnes was one of my favourites growing up. I do a great John Barnes rap from World in Motion. Also a huge fan of Ray Barbee, Phil Shao and James "Bubba" Stewart, stars in some of my other hobbies. You won't have heard of them. In fact, you're so clueless it's hilarious. 😄

If you want to use the word 'cowardly' to describe the last 60 mins, then words such as 'courageous' and 'tenacious' can be used to describe the first 60 mins.

"DEI stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, serving as a framework to ensure fair treatment, access, and participation for all individuals, especially those historically underrepresented" (Source: Google AI)

Yeah, I can see why racists such as yourself would reject it.

The black player, John Barnes, was one of my favourites when I was young so I can't be a racist, despite all the racist statements and insinuations that I have made since then.

Yeah, that's a convincing argument.

Naw ... I'll just do what I normally do when I'm not emotionally invested in a game: Watch the match with a interested, dispassionate, objective eye and hope that the best team wins.

You should give it a try, although obviously that will mean putting your racial bias to one side, so I'm probably asking for too much.
