Now, they're back to calling everyone racist.

The BBC still led with a story/picture of Lamine Yamal when Spain won though. Even though he contributed very little during the tournament. Gotta keep up the narrative. 😄

Agree.

Like the "French" team..

IMO calling it the French team is a stretch… and they love their imports so much they’re sending them to the UK by the boatload.

Yeah, they appear to be pushing the "Look, immigration is working. They are integrating and reaching the highest levels of football" narrative.

Meanwhile, for every Mbappe there's probably 1000 immigrants on welfare or selling drugs.

And ... maybe soon Brits will need to travel to Bangkok for an authentic English pub?

LOL !!

What constitutes an Englishman is one issue.

The other issue is whether some of these teams are deliberately leaving white players out to justify their immigration policies. Impossible to prove what they're doing.

Yes, they are turned into mosques...

Like this Historical Pub "The Hare and Hounds" in Blackburn (first opened in 1799) is the latest Islamic conversion in the UK ..

You're being quite ridiculous - a very GB News slant. "They are turned in to mosques".

A single, small EMPTY building that - despite the council giving it planning permission to add a cafe in 2024 - could not turn a profit and has been sat empty. A small religious centre opposite has been granted permission to take over the premises and it has been welcomed by local residents. The only objections or concerns were around parking, and so the council stipulated there can be no social functions, wedding receptions or funerals held there and it can not be used as a Madressa. All good compromises that nobody objected to.

You would rather have it be left empty and derelict than be used by the community? It's hardly "they are coming and converting our pubs into mosques".

The World Cup has delivered unforgettable football moments, but another story has been unfolding away from the goals and glory. England's victory over Norway may have ended Erling Haaland's tournament, yet it did nothing to dent the warm friendship between him and England star Jude Bellingham.

Before Saturday night's clash, social media buzzed with clips celebrating the pair's long-standing bond, which began when they were teenagers at Borussia Dortmund. As the teams emerged from the tunnel, Bellingham even gave Haaland a playful kick on the back, a light-hearted moment that stood in sharp contrast to the steely intensity often seen before major matches.

OIF-904835575.jpg

For many observers, those scenes highlighted something bigger. Rather than embracing the aggressive image associated with online "manosphere" influencers, football's newest generation has projected a different style of masculinity—one built on friendship, mutual respect and emotional openness.

The contrast is striking. Figures such as Andrew Tate and British streamer HSTikkyTokky have become associated with displays of wealth, expensive cars, boasts about promiscuity and derogatory attitudes towards women. By comparison, Bellingham, Haaland and other leading young footballers present themselves as confident, successful and charismatic while also appearing grounded and respectful.

Haaland has become famous not only for his goals at Manchester City but also for his quirky online personality. Whether posting humorous selfies with Shrek or attempting a Deep South accent, he has built a reputation for laughing at himself rather than projecting anger or superiority.

Following Norway's World Cup exit, Haaland refused to dwell on disappointment. Instead, he reflected positively on his life and career, saying: "I'm quite happy with my life. I'm enjoying it, I'm in a good place."

Family has also become a defining theme for many of football's biggest stars. Since 2025, Haaland has worn "Braut Haaland" on his Norway shirt to honour both his mother, former Norwegian heptathlon champion Gry Marita Braut, and his father, former footballer Alf-Inge Haaland.

OIP-3140999666.jpg

Bellingham has spoken just as warmly about the influence of his mother, Denise. When the midfielder joined Borussia Dortmund for £25 million at the age of 17, Denise moved to Germany with him while his father remained in Birmingham to support younger brother Jobe.

OIP-703655561.jpg

The England midfielder has repeatedly credited his mother for shaping both his career and his character. "I can say without a doubt that my mother has been more important in my career than any coach I've had," he has said.

After England defeated Norway, Bellingham revealed Denise had spent the week reminding him to control both his emotions and his tackles because he was carrying a yellow card into the match. He admitted her advice helped influence his behaviour during the game.

Emotional honesty has become another hallmark of this generation. Rather than hiding vulnerability, Bellingham has argued that public figures should encourage conversations about mental health. He has said: "If we can show vulnerability, then it opens up a bigger conversation for people who are struggling in the darkness."

England captain Harry Kane has also focused on wellbeing away from football, launching his foundation in 2022 to support mental health and emotional resilience.

Polling cited in the article suggests these role models may be resonating. An Ipsos survey in 2025 found 76% of young men said they had at least one positive male role model, while a YouGov poll reported that 71% viewed Andrew Tate and similar influencers unfavourably.

Another survey found 63% of men aged 18 to 29 considered having children important, alongside growing enthusiasm for active fatherhood rather than the traditional breadwinner model. Sporting figures including Gareth Southgate and Andrew Flintoff are also highlighted as promoting tolerance, respect and emotional wellbeing.

As England prepares for Wednesday night's match, there is another contest unfolding beyond the football itself. Whatever happens on the pitch, the tournament has showcased players whose behaviour, friendships and openness continue to attract attention far beyond the game.

This World Cup is proof that the manosphere is dying and for losers

The World Cup was forgettable, boring. Watching paint peel off of a wall would have been more exciting.

It certainly seems the ultra Woke, knee taking, rainbow armband wearing, Gareth Southgate employing, FA would be delighted in the England team was as "diverse" as possible.

Have they gone as far as "encouraging" certain squad selections? Quite possibly... It would certainly explain why the likes of 6 times Premier league winner Phil Foden were left behind.

While much reduced in numbers during the Middle Ages, Jews have been present in England since the early Middle Ages.

And if they are not ‘English’ what are they?

No the Jews were not completely removed in 1290, though I accept your reluctance to read up on the history of The House of Converts.

Again Jonny, are members of England’s centuries old Jewish community English?

It's a game of numbers.

The immigration numbers were massive and all at once with people from very different backgrounds, so it changes the vibe and feel of the place completely.

All / most immigrants tend to gravitate to the same neighborhood.

Might be too intense for me if 50% of the neighborhood was Muslim and a bunch of mosques around me.

Just like a white dude might feel uncomfortable and not even safe living in Harlem in the US back in the day, an all black neighborhood. Not sure if it has changed now.

Around 50 people.😄

What are you trying to prove Higgot? That 50 Jewish people living in isolation in England 800 years ago means there is no such thing as English ethnicity? 😄

Desperate stuff even by your standards. Laughable.

Newssubscription service

Pubs don't tend to have loads of customers when Muslims take over an area.

Hence it could no longer make a profit.

Honestly, the good think with immigrants in England, they make people from your country look better 😉

Have you ever wondered why Europe has such a rich multicultural society?

Made me laugh how Jonny was applauding the final before it happened- 2 teams which had kept their ethnicity intact- not one 'black' player on the Argentinian team.

And then the Argentinians behaved appallingly, fouling during the game, and even worse afterwards, punching, striking, you name it.

What sore losers! What a culture! Sir Alf was right back in 1966, and he's right now.

FIFA better check the players' DNA before the next World Cup. There could be some some Nazi elements in there from the players' ancestors post 1945.

A look at migration to the UK:

Mass migration to the UK occurred in distinct historical waves, beginning with the mass labor and refugee migrations during the Industrial Revolution (1815–1914). Modern mass migration, however, largely began immediately after World War II with the arrival of the "Windrush generation" in 1948, followed by a major surge in net migration starting in the late 1990s.

  • The 19th Century (1815–1914): Known as the great age of mass migration, this period saw a large influx of people—primarily Irish workers seeking employment and fleeing the potato famine—into expanding industrial UK cities.

  • Post-World War II (1948–1960s): The British Nationality Act 1948 granted residency rights to hundreds of millions of Commonwealth subjects. This sparked large-scale migration from the Caribbean, South Asia, and Africa to fill severe post-war labor shortages.

  • The Late 1990s to Present: Official Migration statistics show annual net migration began to rapidly increase in 1997, driven by economic expansion, open European Union labor markets in the 2000s, and subsequent global recruitment.

Note what happened post Brexit, under Tory rule-

The Post-Brexit "Boom and Bust" Trend

Rather than a steady decline, migration since the formal end of EU free movement in January 2021 followed an unprecedented "boom and bust" cycle:

The Historic Peak (2022–2023): Spurred by labour shortages, a new points-based system, and humanitarian crises, net migration surged to an all-time record high of 944,000 in the year ending March 2023.

Under Labour rule:

The Sharp Decline (2024–2025): Following aggressive policy changes to curb visas, provisional Office for National Statistics (ONS) data shows that net migration plummeted by nearly 80% to 171,000 for the year ending December 2025.

A Complete Demographical Reallocation

The institutional shock of ending free movement completely reconfigured where immigrants originate.

  • Negative EU Net Migration: Since 2022, more EU citizens have been leaving the UK than arriving. In the year ending December 2025, net migration for EU nationals sat at negative 42,000. Total EU-born workers in pay-rolled employment dropped 13% compared to their late 2019 peak.

  • The Non-EU Surge: More than 80% of long-term immigrants entering the UK now originate from outside the EU. Main countries of origin include India, China, Nigeria, and the Philippines. Non-EU citizens accounted for two-thirds of UK employee job growth between 2021 and 2024.

migration to the UK since Brexit - Google Search

Blame the Tories and Brexit, not Labour, for the rise in migrants from non-white countries.

Jonny, have you checked your DNA? There could be some Irish blood in you, son.

The price of a pint is prohibitive these days. Back in the 70s buying a round for your friends didn't bankrupt you.

Then there's the change in lifestyle. A lot of middle class folks seem to take their health seriously these days. Always out running, eating healthy food, many eschew alcohol, poor souls.

And pubs are sadly closing around the country. Nothing to do with Muslims.

Mass migration

Mass migration is a complex issue.

And probably above the average person's head.

Just to call everyone "racist" is over-simplifying the matter.

Just started watching this video.

It actually explains why Christians and Druids were persecuted by the Romans.

Because when there is mass migration, especially with people of very different religions and customs and beliefs, there is the potential for one dominant group to disrupt the social cohesion of the whole.

People downplaying the migration issue probably don't understand the complexities.

It has the capacity to destabilize a country.

And the video goes on the explain how they eventually lost control and some groups starting making their own laws ....

Not as strict as most others.

Are most immigrants coming from Dubai? I doubt it.

More from the video above. History lesson for me.

The Roman empire didn't fall because of mass migration, but it was one of the factors.

Mexico invited American settlers into Texas. The conditions were that the settlers had to convert to Catholicism, .... the settlers ignored the conditions. Within 10 years they outnumbered the local population and declared independence and then a few years later it was annexed by the United States.

Except during Ramadan of course but hey what's a few weeks of the year to a thriving greasy spoon cafe in Britistan?
