I understand that the politics before and after the tragic event were imperfect and muddled, not helped by fantasy conspiracy theories - but we all need to remember that this was an evil action by an evil sub cult within a religion.

I'm surprised by the lack of international remembrance for the many innocent victims.

Every year 9-11 should be a day of peaceful protest outside every mosque to remind Muslims of the evil that was committed in the name of their religion.

Thanks for bringing the topic back to never forget & remember. People in my town were murdered that day as a result of being on American flight #11. I don't expect people to grieve or carry a grudge from across the pond but I do expect proper respect for the chaos & mayhem, caused by extremists foreign nationals .

A friendly message to Americans ask yourselves why so many hate you and how many have you killed in your war of adventures since WW2 - all lives violently lost need to be mourned so that we end this cycle of violence and we need to start by understanding why did Bin Ladin said he did this.

What a stupid idea. And based on ignorance. It was an attack on America's geopolitical meddling over decades. If America didn't blindly support Israel and its crimes, didn't have troops in the Middle East, didn't start wars there, then it wouldn't have happened. If America had always behaved like a good global citizen like Switzerland, Singapore, Sweden (as random examples) then it would not have happened. It was not based on religion, but based on behaviour.

Hegseth intimated the attack on Iran was a Holy War and that God was on America's side, publicly asked God (Santa Claus) for "every round to find its mark" and prayed for "overwhelming violence" against enemies.

Therefore, I suggest that every 28th February (the day when you bombed the hell out of 175 school children) should be a peaceful protest outside every church to remind Christians of the evil that was committed in the name of their religion.

The way that you can know that 9-11 was a false flag operation is to just ask yourself who benefited from it. Only one country/people benefited from it: Israel/Jews. The whole thing was perpetrated by the Israelis (with the help of fellow Jews in the US), to get the US to fight their enemies in the Middle East. And that's exactly what resulted.

Here's how they made it look like planes hit the buildings, which were brought down by explosives that were planted in the buildings by "Israeli art students" in the months prior to 9-11. (Only explosives could have made huge chunks of the buildings fly outward for long distances, and only explosives could have made those huge clouds of dust that we saw as the buildings were collapsing.)

The agents of chaos benefited. The intent was to provoke a response that would likely cause some sort of uprising against the House of Saud or whatever.

The plotters considered the House of Saud to be the illegitimate guardians of Mecca. In history, Mecca was essentially independent. It was very controversial when the Sauds captured Mecca in 1924. Bin Laden's main beef was the presence of US forces in Saudi Arabia following the first Gulf War; its considered a holy kingdom. Its a lot of sky fairy cobblers, but its what they believe. Bin Laden, believed (incorrectly it proved) that it wouldn't take much for their to be an uprising. I imagine he thought the American response would be cruise missiles etc, as in Sudan

Barry the Convert summed up the plan in his version.

Bomb the mosque

Radicalise the moderates

The Umma rises up

It all kicks all

Broadly similar to Bin Laden's strategy, which was probably more along the lines of; bomb the Americans, Americans bomb a mosque/wedding/funeral/whatever, radicalising the moderates, the Umma rises up, it all kicks off.

Yeah, half baked plans, and they, to paraphrase the Irish Republican Army terrorists, got lucky, but they <deleted> up, because they had no say in the consequent events.

Not really. America, and Israel, were obviously part of the reasoning from Bin Laden, but really it was about his idea of a Pan Islamic Caliphate, which was a hodge podge of theological nonsense, <deleted> history and general crack potness. Part of getting to that was get rid of the Americans. he was a Salafist, specifically a Salafi jihadist, which broadly meant achieving the Salafist world through violence. Salafist jihadism isn't some ancient creed of Islam. Its thoroughly modern, and emerged in the 1950s as an anti-colonial, anti-imperialist movement, which wanted to go back to what their ideas of what "pure" Islam meant, which means whatever the hell they wanted that to be, and then evolved in Soviet occupied Afghanistan. Salafism itself was a 19th Century movement, that tried to reject Western influence. These "Quietest Salafists" were quite anti-politics, considering it corrupting, and non-violent. They consider Bin Laden's version to heretical.

Al Qaeda isn't the first movement to pick up on some fictional idea of the "good old days" to try and inspire people Hitler, or more precisely, Himmler did the same, with their idea of the German Volk and the return of the Teutonic Knights, and a bunch of made up folk festivals. It was as if Ivanhoe was based on history. See the same nonsense symbology with movements like Britain First, and their Crusader nonsense. Now look up Alek Yerbury. What a pathetic <deleted> stain he is.

He certainly did not expect the US Republican liars to attack Iraq in reprisal, and establish a Shia dominated regime there. 😃

Never forget.
3k innocent people murdered that morning by foreign extremists who hijacked four airliners.
Ordinary people going to work, first responders running toward the danger, passengers on Flight 93 who fought back.
25 yrs later the names still matter. We remember them. As time went by....

"100 million Americans are too young to remember September 11, 2001 but the legacy of those who were killed and all who responded lives on. That’s why the work the 9/11 Memorial & Museum does to commemorate, educate, and inspire is more important than ever".

Avoiding facts makes your on going and misleading narrative alive doesnt it?

Please explain the evidence of thermite in the metal structures, the molten metal pouring from the building, the collapse of the steel framed twin towers, the evidence of explosions given both by video footage and firefighters on the ground, the unexplained "collapse" of the untouched building 7 while jumping past another building, the wrong plane engine found at the scene, the overwhelming consensus of architects and engineers worldwide stating categorically that the buildings would not have collapsed as portrayed. i can go on and on but you wont reply because you cant or your fake narrative collapses

Never forget what they did despite the Canadian Media forgetting that their citizens were murdered as a result of the Terrorist attack. This raises a serious question for the 25th anniversary, should reporters or media outlets that refuse to call 9/11 a terrorist attack even be allowed into the USA, or granted press credentials to cover the memorial event at Ground Zero.

“Do not refer to the Sept. 11 attacks as terrorist attacks,” the memo read. “The hijackings led to passenger jet crashes in Washington, D.C., Pennsylvania and Manhattan. The World Trade Center (WTC in second reference) was destroyed.”

Truth Matters. The former Gov of New York during the attack on WTC helping thousands of people remember to never forget by voicing his condemnation of the leaked memo .

"The

I thought you said that 9/11 was an inside job. If that were true, it would have to have been orchestrated by the Clinton Administration.

Again, I'm no fan of your hero Clinton, but I just don't believe that is true.

Your hero Clinton had to have done it, because it was put together long before Bush took office.

Why would he do it?

Funny lecture from the country that spent centuries turning half the planet into a graveyard and calling it “civilising the natives.” You want Americans to “ask themselves why so many hate you” and then solemnly link to Bin Laden’s press release like it’s deep philosophy...??? Really??

Meanwhile your own empire’s body count makes America’s post-WW2 wars look like a bar fight. Please... spare us the selective mourning and if “understanding” the guy who murdered 3,000 civilians is the path to peace start by understanding why the rest of the world eventually told Britain to duck off.

Never forget the choices some victims made on 9/11, a remembrance to Mark Bingham, he overslept that morning, hurriedly made it through Newark Airport just as the gate was closing, and became the last passenger to board UA Flight 93.

When terrorist hijackers took control, he and others refused to sit back. Just like those in the towers forced into impossible choices, they chose to fight back. By forcing the plane down in a Pennsylvania field, their heroics saved lives .

google ai overview:

"It is true that Mark Bingham was the last passenger to board United Airlines Flight 93 on the morning of September 11, 2001".

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Bingham

"He overslept that morning, rushed through Newark International Airport, and made it onto Gate 17 just in time before the flight departed. He took seat 4D shortly before the aircraft was hijacked and later crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, as passengers fought back".

That's not really how the Empire was established. India was largely through a series of deals with Maharajas. Its quite remarkable how small the deployed British army was to run basically half the world.

The estimates are difficult, but the death toll from establishing the empire, over a roughly 400 year period, was 1-5 million. Over the same period, excess mortality due to colonial policies, about 10 million, but you could take it to 30 million, if you determine that famine and infectious disease outbreaks were due to British policy. About 87,000 deaths (tops) per year, with 12,000 directly attributed to Imperial violence.

But the most important period for Empire expansion was the 1815-1870. During that period, the British Army numbered about 200-230,000 deployed globally. But you can double that if you include the local levees. Notably, conscription was never needed to raise these levee formations. The period before was mostly establishing North American and Caribbean colonies, Ireland, trading posts in India, and cementing military dominance in Europe. The most significant period was the defeat of the Sepoy mutineers in India. Before, India was basically run as a private concern by the East India Company; they established a system where pretty much all the civil servants, and senior administrators and judges were not British, but Anglo-Indians. The mutiny changed all that. The Crown took over, and the Anglo-Indians were no longer trusted, and most were dismissed, and replaced by the "old colonial hands" from London. One of the legacies of that period is that many roles on the Indian Railways are still dominated by Anglo-Indians, which is where they got jobs after the mutiny.

The period 1870 to 1915 was the "New Imperialism" and produced another huge territorial expansion, especially in Africa, but much of the basic empire already existed. If we consider the period 1915-1914, considering all the wars, then Empire expansion cost about 2 million lives over a 100 year period, and there were a further 18 million arising due to colonial policy. So that's 20,000 a year due to war, fighting and pacification, 180,000 due to colonial policies.

The best estimates for deaths due to US violence since 1945 is 3-5 million, about 45-65,000 deaths per year. Its when you dig into the indirect effects of US policy, things get a bit grim. Brown University estimates 3.6–3.8 million indirect deaths in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Syria and Yemen from the effects of the GWOT. These include deaths associated with disease, malnutrition, destruction of healthcare and infrastructure, and other consequences of war. Then there are sanctions, which is tricky, because while the US sets sanctions, it looks to its allies, including the UK, which you obviously hate, to enforce.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/40712610/

Over 500,000 deaths a year attributable to sanctions between 1971 and 2021.

The time period 1946-2026 is interesting; 81 years isn't too far from the British expansionary period I analysed. The American numbers, on one level, look far worse, and arguably, you have less to show for it.

You brought up the question of numbers, so don't whine like a berkshire hunt and say numbers don't tell the whole story.

Your WOKE AI does not work but it gives idiots chance to look smart...

So "you" brought numbers but "you" (or your woke AI slop should use the ones that include the famines and the sepoy army and not the brochure version. You might have used wrong prompt too? Like "tell me how to reply to these facts so that I don't get offended"

In any case that’s not how it worked and the death numbers "you" are (or your AI) using are a sanitized floor.

India wasn’t “largely deals with Maharajas.” It was Plassey, Buxar, the Anglo-Mysore wars, the Maratha wars, annexation of Awadh, the Doctrine of Lapse, and then a private company army. “Deals” came after the guns and killing. Before 1857 the Company fielded ~45–50k British troops against ~230–300k Indian sepoys. That’s the whole trick where Indians paid for, and bled in, the army that conquered India. Then after the the mutiny the Crown took over sacking a lot of the Anglo-Indian civil service and never trusted the same mix again. I wonder if there is anyone you can trust in India considering how it looks today...

"Your" (or your woke AI) 1–5 million “establishing the empire over 400 years” is not a serious figure as the documented major famines under Company/Raj are in 1770 Bengal: commonly 1–10 million, 1876–78: 5.6–9.6 million (grain still exported under Lytton), 1896–97 + 1899–1900: ~6 million, 1943 Bengal: 2–3 million

That’s already well past "your" establishing band and it ignores 1857 reprisals, Jallianwala, Ireland, Kenya, the earlier Caribbean/slave-trade phase and the fact that India’s per capita income barely moved while Britain industrialized on the drain. You can pretend here to care.... and then continue for more facts.

The contested Hickel and Sullivan excess-mortality work for 1880–1920 as it sits at 50 million using India’s own 1880s death rate as baseline (this would be higher for your woke ai if you use a pre-colonial English rate).

You can argue the baseline but you cannot pretend the famines were just weather or are you and your AI by any chance a climate cultist too???

“Small army running half the world” is true only if you count the local levies as free labour and ignore that they were paid from Indian taxes. Commies like you like taxes so you should have been aware of that. Conscription was not needed because the Company and then the Raj hired locally.

That’s extraction for you and not magic. Something your AI should learn. Gotta say that you commies do like magic as your lot still believes in communisms and open borders.

You and your AI want to compare to US post 1945 numbers and Brown’s 3.6–3.8 million indirect GWOT deaths plus the sanctions paper.

Fine. Different century, different tools, shorter time window. Something for your woke LLM to learn too.

The Raj ran for app. 190 years in India, exported food during famines, and still got told to leave after two world wars in which India supplied the men. Partition then killed another million as they walked out in a hurry.

So now go and cry in corner and scroll more of your AI slop. You could write a prompt like "how do I leave woke commie left and enter real world, what are the first steps?"

Oh, and still no matter what the numbers, why the rest of the world eventually told Britain to duck off...
