I've done something bad to my back muscles playing golf and since things hasn't improved much after a week I am thinking it might be a good idea to see a specialist.

Anyone know of a good physiotherapist or sports doctor in Pattaya - perhaps even one with some experience with this kind of injuries? Given the number of golf courses in the area it must be something that pops up from time to time....

Check with Joe at TQ1 - albeit not a licensed back stretcher he knows the trick...

Try a hospital like Bangkok Pattaya.

I live down the road in Sri Racha and I have recurring back problem

The Physio guys at Phaya Thai Hospital are very good.

An Ultra Sound session on the affected area costs around 150 baht,

dirt cheap, and 2 or three session have me up on my feet again.

Went to Bkk-Ptt and doc says I twisted the muscle. Prescribed Diclofenac Sodium, rest and ... low-impact bodymassage :o (no, my wife didn't believe that one either)
