Driving Lessons

Featured Replies

Wanting to get a member of staff some lessons, any ideas as to how much an hour ( if it works the same way as back home) and who/where anyone can reccomend.

thx

they have these?

judging by the maniacs on the road i thought you just bought a car / moped and went for it........................

There;s a place on the way out of Patong as you head over towards Kathu, on the right hand side as you start to make the sharp left hand turn. The place has a large number of road traffic signs pinned on the outside of the building. My better half checked it out and it seems to cost about 3,250 baht for a course that is around ten hours. They apparently have some private land they use as a practice course but we don't as yet have any first hand experience of the place.

thx, one question i have forgot ......

do they provide the vehicle ..............OR......... god forbid they have to use mine :o

They provide vehicle and can use it for the test.. I think they also have an auto for the really ham fisted.

They taught my wife to drive a few years back.. I think it was 10x 2 hour lessons back then.

She got her license but IMO still couldn't drive.

Exactly, and that's precisely why I have told my better half that she can take all the instruction she wants here for as long as she likes but it will be a long time before she ever gets into the drivers seat of my CRV.

I know of 2 places ( the 10 lession X 2hrs sounds about right)

One in Cheungtalay (western part of town) if comming form the Red Room you make the 90Deg rith turn into cheungtalay and then you pass a little wet market on your left and the driving school is right after it (give or take a few shop houses)

Look for a bunch of Road Signs adorning the front of the shop.

Another one that I've seen in passing is on Chaofa Rd West on the Northern/Western side of the road (Mountain side) somewhere between Desjoux pools and PhromPhan Supermarket (Johnny walker store)

I think ist some hwere colose to the one traffice light they have in the middle there.

You should of just asked me mate she has just done it all
