i just wanted to go to koh tao/ phangan and koh chang... but in the very famous stefan loose travelguide i read, that koh tao has become quiet bad. no that sandy beaches as i expected.

what islands can you recommend me for three weeks. i'm searching for silent ones, normal guesthouses and good food

Go to Ao nang bay in Krabi. From there you can take bananna boats to Poda, Chicken Islands and Railey beach. Ao nang is pretty laid back.

Alternative: KoChang (IF the weather is ok). Plenty of (silent) beaches the further you head direction south...

i have allready been to krabi - really beautiful - but isn't the weather very bad in the august ?? that's the reasen, why i focused my travel on the area around koh samui ?!
