Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket and Krabi are warned of flooding conditions

The Meteorological Department reported today (September 12th) at 04:00 hours that a trough of low pressure lies across lower northern and northeastern Thailand. Thundershowers with isolated heavy rain are expected over upper Thailand. A moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, southern Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Increasing in rainfall is likely in the areas. People along disaster prone areas of Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket and Krabi provinces should beware of flooding conditions during this period.

Meanwhile, Bangkok metropolis and vicinity will likely see scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rain. The minimum temperature would be 26 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature would be 35 degrees Celsius. The southwesterly winds will be around 15 to 30 kilometers per hour.

Rained a little this morning. Weather radar shows much more rain further north up the coast. Windguru forecast for Phuket very wet through the weekend, but without big waves.
