wants2no
This search hijacker ShopNav is preventing me from going to any websites. I can't even use online help for XP. I brought the recovery discs with me and would willingly pay someone who knows what they are doing to reformat my harddrive and reinstall my software. It may not be necessary, but I can't seem to understand the instructions for uninstalling ShopNav. Please call me as I don't think the computer is going to be useful for email, too. This is urgent as my business depends on the computer. I'm at a hotel the number for which is 02 748 1035. My name is Phillip Lippi.
paulfr
Just find the executable and delete it. Probably in Program Files folder. If not do a search for 'ShopNav' or just 'Shop'. Best to delete the entire folder when you find it.

organic
There are instructions here but be very careful using regedit. It's a BHO and you may be able to kill it with Spybot Search & Destroy or BHO Demon, if you can get to the websites to download either of them. It's best to get Spybot and Adaware anyway and run both of them regularly. Better still get a decent browser instead of IE (e.g. Opera or Firefox).
