Selling Books

Featured Replies

I have so many books that I'll never read again. Where is the best second-hand book store to sell these to? In other words which store pays best?

Preferably Sukhumvit area.

Thanks.

Good question ! asi'd ask the same one, strange to takers :o the only place in Bkk i can think of is Kaosarn rd. stalls

who else would read english books here..

For NEW and/or POPULAR books, Gecko Books in Chiang Mai pays a lot more - in CASH - than anyone that I have heard of in Bangkok.

I know that doesn't help you much there, but I do have a fair number of Bangkok residents bringing their books up here to sell to us when they visit.

For older, run of the mill stuff (old Clancy. P. Cornwell, Grisham type books), we probably don't pay much more than Bangkok as we are swamped with it, but we do buy it for cash which many shops won't.

Buy a beer to the cleaning staff, they may be able to take the books to some recycle facility or sell them galore with other scrap paper they have collected from the building.

I would try Dasa on corner of Soi 26 and what he won't buy take to Elite at Soi 33/1 just up from Villa.
