Fire Near Thanon Ratchaparop

At about 12:30 this morning my wife noticed a strange smell. We look out the window and saw smoke coming up from the nearby Soi. After a minute or so we realized that this wasn't just a wok on fire, but a fairly major blaze. We called the apartment management, only to find that it had already been reported, and headed downstairs.

To make a long story short - an eight story apartment building, three buildings away from ours, is still smoldering four hours later. Most of the people got out ok, but a baby was airlifted out by helicopter and rumour has it that two people are missing and presumed dead. I don't have time to write about it in more detail now - has anyone else heard about it?
