Businesses in Phuket are preparing for Chinese Vegetarian Festival

Businesses in Phuket province are getting prepared for the upcoming Chinese Vegetarian Festival, scheduled to take place during October 11th to 19th.

During the Chinese Vegetarian Festival, participants will refrain from meat consumption. They will also wear white to show the purification of their mind and bodies. The garments are made available both in traditional and fashionable styles. Each year’s fashion however reflects the style and habits of shoppers, as some may not be strict vegetarians, but wear white to go with the flow of the majority of the island. Thus, many fashion or garment shops in Phuket are adjusting their sales and availabilities of products in serving customers.

Meanwhile, the provincial authority is cleaning up the local shrines in preparation for the upcoming festivity. At the same time, fire engines and teams have been stationed in three locations around the municipality to handle any accidents from fire crackers and fireworks, for instance.

The office also has its schools’ students to join in the processions of shrines to learn and appreciate the local heritage value.

Taoism: shit happens

Buddhism: if shit happens, it isn't really shit

Islam: if shit happens, it is the will of Allah

Catholicism: if shit happens, you deserve it

Judaism: why does this shit always happen to us?

Atheism: I don't believe this shit

Thus, many fashion or garment shops in Phuket are adjusting their sales and availabilities of products in serving customers.

Nice to see the PR department's English is up to standard.

The TNNB PRD probably adapted from our original earlier news items:
