What code would they be competing in tonight? Cricket? Rugbyt? League? Soccer? Basketball? Netball? Hocley?....

I really have no idea.

Come to think of it...a score of 32 would be rather high for soccer or hockey....I guess that rules out tennis or golf too.

For once a ref not afraid to show either of these two the odd card...well played that man and well played Black

A few posts back it looks as though eek was trying to beat sbk with the last word.....or words :whistling:

Watching Kung <deleted>.

I wish David Carradine was still alive :(

He was seen !!!

Honest to you know who..................

A reporter said he was hanging around with that nice lead singer from INXS

Only in UK.........

A WOMAN who swore at yobs when they smashed her bedroom window was arrested

................ because she was causing them distress.

Bolton magistrates yesterday cleared Natalie Harrop of any wrongdoing.

She was bound over and warned to behave for the next year or face a £100 fine.

.....and also in UK......

Oops - and ouch!

In Bridgewater, England, a police officer accidentally Tasered Peter Cox in the groin after stopping him on suspicion of driving without insurance.

The officer apologised to Cox, who had to be treated by paramedics.

The police released him after finding he did have insurance.

Even the UK isn't safe.

The one that made me laugh out loud was when they went to congratulate the World's "oldest" man in Japan. And found that he had been dead for 30 years!!!

My shaky Internet connection is back (for the moment). My 1-2-Call card spat the dummy at being constantly moved from the phone to the air modem and back again. So now I have a dedicated Dtac sim for the air modem only. A fraction faster than 12Call, but only a fraction (still only dial-up speed). Remember dial-up modems - all the drop-outs and other connection woes? Aaaarrrrrghhh.

New Immigration Laws: Read to the bottom or you will miss the message...

1 There will be no special bilingual programs in the schools.

2. All ballots will be in this nation's language.

3. All government business will be conducted in our language.

4. Non-residents will NOT have the right to vote no matter how long they are

Here.

5. Non-citizens will NEVER be able to hold political office

6 Foreigners will not be a burden to the taxpayers. No welfare, no food

Stamps, no health care, or other government assistance programs. Any burden

Will be deported.

7. Foreigners can invest in this country, but it must be an amount at least

Equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage.

8. If foreigners come here and buy land... Options will be restricted.

Certain parcels including waterfront property are reserved for citizens

Naturally born into this country.

9.. Foreigners may have no protests; no demonstrations, no waving of a

Foreign flag, no political organizing, no bad-mouthing our prime minister or

His policies. These will lead to deportation.

10. If you do come to this country illegally, you will be actively hunted

&, when caught, sent to jail until your deportation can be arranged. All

Assets will be taken from you.

Too strict?......

The above laws are the current immigration laws of the Muslim countries !!!

These sound fine to me, NOW, how can we get these laws to be Australia 's, New Zealand's and UK

Immigration laws??

You'd better learn how to speak Maori, then.

But seriously, if you take a close look at our laws, there are some simmilarities.

I'd post more, but it's time for another beer.....excuse me....

This one knocks NZ.....

So much outsourcing, could be anywhere, personally, iask where ppl ARE actually working from.

Egypt, India, Australia, or Philippines, are just a few.

I preface my query by say they speak english very well, whether they do or not.

Amazingly, OZ and NZ outsource to each other...... read on.

Sorted - what was the problem?

Melody rang IRD to inquire about what identification she would need to get her 1-year-old an IRD number:

Helpdesk - Okay, does he have an overseas passport?

Melody - No. He's NZ-born.

Helpdesk - Okay. Does he have a New Zealand citizenship cert?

Melody - Um no, he's NZ-born.

noimage.gifHelpdesk - Okay. Is your son under the age of 16?

Melody - He's 1, like I said.

Helpdesk - Okay, can I put you on hold?

(5mins later)

Helpdesk - Hi there. Does he have a refugee document?

Melody - NO.

Helpdesk - Can I put you on hold please?

(Another 5mins)

Helpdesk - Hi, you still there?

Melody - Yes. I don't know why, though.

Helpdesk - Okay. You need to bring in the child's passport along with your two forms of ID and we'll be able to sort it for you. Is there anything else I can help with?

Click. Melody hangs up.

I'm a little bit tired.

I have pizza ..and its F....... awesome.

Can you supply any further details eek? It's not everyday I hear of an awesome pizza here in Chiang Mai.

Didnt say the pizza was awesome. :P

..its only awesome because its the first thing ive been able to eat in a few days. Been unwell.

Its awesome because i am eating it...and its awesome because i havent eaten pizza in months. Everything just feels awesome because i feel a bit more human right at this moment. :D

Anyway..who said im in CM atm? For all you know i could be in Italy..

Well I'm bloody depressed.

Went to see the surgeon who fixed my knee to tell him it still hurts. He shrugged his shoulders and said he only did the operation cause it was so bad, if he got it right it would make him famous ( I wondered why he took so many pictures of the inside of my bloody leg and him fiddling about inside ).annoyed.gif

Is it the phase of the moon? It can't be the weather because we are all over the globe......but I've been in a shitty, blue, can't-put-my-finger-on-it-grrrrr mood for the last few days.

I'm glad your pizza eating was awesome for you Eek. :)

Aw too bad. Well..hopefully that feeling will blow over..for both of us. :)

When im feeling down, i try to see the positives..even in something as simple as eating a pizza. lol. I try the reverse psychology approach on myself. Feel down = do positive things, try think positive thoughts, try turn it around. But..occasionally doesnt work..and i just think screw it time to mope for a bit.

Lots of little things building on top of each other is no fun. Plus im going through a "lonely" phase. Sometimes feel like i never going to meet someone that i "click" with. I dont think its that my standards are high, well maybe they are..im not sure, but i really want to feel comfortable with someone. No games, no drama. Someone with a zest for life. Also having been stung relatively recently makes me even more cautious...when i was already cautious! Well, even if i end up alone, at least i will be alone doing the things i want to do, rather than in a relationship for the sake of it and feeling unhappy. I really shouldnt complain about life..this period of my life I am actually doing more of the things i have wanted to than ever. For that im grateful.

edit: oh..but that pizza eating moment was awesome, even if fleeting. ^_^

Awww, eek. Were I available I'd come and sweep you off your feet today!

I might be too short for you, but as long as you were sitting and I was standing I don't think it would be a problem. :D

I might not have those 6-pack abs that you so appreciate, but I could were clothes at all times so you wouldn't notice. :whistling:

I might be too old for you, but the thought that my great fortune would pass to you that much earlier would provide you with more than enough comforting thought to ignore that minor setback.

My mind might be a bit on the dark side, but I could buy you a high-powered flashlight so you could get around without injuring yourself. :P

I might not be hansum, but I could wear a mask.

Cheer up, girl. There's lots of blokes in the world for ya (better than me).

As to all the guys feeling a bit on the downside . . . quit your goddarn whimpering ya sissies!!

:D

Me too, eek.

Been feeling awful for a few weeks now. Sprained ankle, three weeks now. I cannot take a step without pain shooting up my leg. Am taking every painkiller and anti inflammatory known to man, I have a splint and crutches.

Being thrown out of my flat - I am basically squatting because i have no where to go. Stupid cow bitch of a landlady.

Can't sleep because of a mix of the above two things. I refuse to take sleeping pills.

Oh, and they cut off my phone yesterday because I had forgotten to pay April's bill...

The only good thing that has happened is that the cat didn't die. He is bouncing around like a kitten. If he had died I would have had to have been institutionalised!!

But, I do have the thought that "It can only get better". Everything will fall into place and I shall laugh about it in a few months time. Been there done that sort of thoughts. Thank god that it's not the deep dark winter months and I can hop over and open the window to let a warm breeze in!!

Smile everyone!! Scowling gives wrinkles... So does smiling but those are good wrinkles.
