I'm looking for any shops in the Nonthaburi area that sell aftermarket car parts for for Honda Nissan and Mitsubishi. Specific engines are Honda B16 and B18c, Nissan SR20DET and RB series and Mitsubishi 4g63. If anybody has any information, (shop names/addresses. web sites and phone numbers) for any shop that might sell these items, that would really make my day! Please post the information here or just email me. Thanks :o

Are you looking for new or secondhand? OEM parts or aftermarket? That's a lot of engines you're building there!!! :o

It doesn't matter if it's new or used, preferably used if it'll cost less. I myself am only building two of those engines, a mildly built B16 EG Civic turbo and an Eagle Talon (Mitsubishi Eclipse) AWD. For the 4g63 I'm looking for sheet metal intake manifold and large throttle body and possibly a larger turbo than the TD05h-20g I have now. I have most of the major parts already and now I'm just looking for miscellaneous parts.

Two of my friends are looking for Nissan parts, one has a SR20DET and the other has a RB25DET.

Im not sure about shops in the Nonthaburi area but there are lots of Honda B16/B18/K20 specialists in Bangkok.Try posting on rcweb.net and im sure someone will reply in your area.

One of the better shops is located on Nawamin/Ramintra,unfortunately ive forgotten the name.I use a shop called Speedway on SriNakarin near Seacon and have always been happy with the parts and service there.

Good luck with the builds!

Clipped is right. Either Chaing Kong or the Chula area dow behind MBK if you want second hand bits, not sure if you will find a decent second hand turbo though.

It looks like my plans for my engine build have changed. The Civic is now gone (sold) and I will now be focused on my 4g63 build up. Please tell me there is an abundance of parts (used) for the the 1st generation 4g63. I'm from the U.S but will be in Bangkok in a couple weeks. I don't have much time to roam around the whole city to look for used parts so if any Thai locals would be kind enough to help out that would be great.

What are my chances of finding a wrecked or non-running EVO I II or III there? I would love to be able to cut one in half and ship it to the U.S. EVO 1-7 NEVER made it to America. If I could find a decent EVO 1,2,3 complete chassis (w/o motor) I can ship it to the U.S as spare parts then I would have less hassle by the U.S. customs department.

If possible I could meet face-to-face with any of you who've helped me thus far if you are located in the vicinity. I'll be in BK, most mostly in the Nonthaburi area. I will only be in Pattaya for one day.

As others have said above, the best chance you have of finding a cut up Evo 1,2,3 with engine is at Chiang Khong on Bangna-Trat Rd.There are a few garages that specialize in the 4g63 but you would need to come here and buy a couple of tuning magazines to get the numbers/addresses.

Good luck with your search!

send me a pm before you leave for thailand, be glad to take you around.

My friend is taking me to Chiang Khong so I can spend the day looking for things I need. Clipped, I'll send you a PM right before I leave. I should be in the area between Nov 12-14.

I was under the impression that car parts would a little cheaper than here in the U.S. Is it normal for an intake manifold like the one shown below to cost 17,500 baht? That is more expensive than anything I can buy in the U.S. I know this a difficult question but,

do any of you guys have a general idea of what various car parts would cost there?

Judging by the research I've done, it seems that the obscure parts I'm looking for are just as rare in Bangkok as it they are in the US. If I see someone in a modified car, I'm just going to have to stop him and ask where all the good local car shops are located.

You will not be bale to find much Japanese stuff held in stock here, normally you have to place an order and it takes between 3-4 weeks for delivery. If it's second hand parts you are after then the JDM fanatics snap it all up as quickly here as they do in the US!

The only way to get parts is if you have an association/friendship with one of the brakers yards/importers who gets to see all the stuff before the mechanics and then the punters.
