I move to a new house in Phuket City Chao Fa Rd.

People tell me that if I want a phone line I must wait 3 to 4 months for the installation, is this correct?

A friend of mine has a TT&T phone line for sale 10.000 Baht and tells me I can get it in 1 or 2 days....

But I don't know if I can get it in my own name?

Anyone know?

How long time will it take to get a phone line including ADSL and what is the best TOT or TT%T ? And the pricing? I hear that there is a sort of promotion going on, but I can't find any info on the Net!

3 to 4 months is what they say, but it takes more than twelve if you don't want to pay the overprize your frind is talking about. If you get the phone line, most likely you will have to wait forever on the adsl which is not yet available to private customers. By the way, I believe you can get the line your friend is offering but only if you have a fixed line in your house/apartment.

Best bet is grps which I did some months back.
