Gym And Restaurants In Kalasin?

Featured Replies

Hello!

I am going to spend most of december and january in Kalasin. Will stay with my wife in her village about 20 kms east of Kalasin town. Does anyone know if there is any gym in the town, and can you recommend any nice eating place?

Thanks in advance.

Ben (who is looking forward to flee the Swedish winter :o )

Hi Ben,

The only Gym I know of is next to the main "lake" in Kalasin (Called Kud Naam Gin), not far from the Rimpao Hotel. Opens in the afternoon at about 2pm till 8pm except Mondays.

Price is bt5 per day / bt20 per month / bt200 per yr.

Not sure what the quality of equipment is as have not used it myself, but the wife is a regular.

As for restaurants, it all depends what you are looking for.. maybe best for you to have a look around and see for yourself. There are a couple of good Buffet BBQ places

Hope this helps

The gym by the lake is really quit nice, and has greatly improved in the last 4 years... There is another place in town, but have never been to it, just passed by and noticed the equipment thru the window...

Restrurants are all over, and mostly Thai (obivously) but there are some really good ones... One of my favorites is the Suki House and almost anyone can tell you how to find it... Also there is a nice place next to the Private Hospital that is owned by the Doctor who owns the Private Hospital... It is very nice, but the service is really slow... And as mentioned there are many Korean style BBQ's in town and some are better than others, but gives you a good choice of what to cook / eat, and very cheap...

Oh, and there is one small Scandinavian restrurant in town to help with your Farang / home food withdrawal... There new location will be on the Soi by the Chinese Wat / Temple...
