Many apologies if this has been done recently. I certainly haven't seen it and would be interested in your votes and opinions

2Long,

Very nice poll with proper choices. You could add "cars with a provincial license plate" in the IN Bangkok poll and "cars with a Bangkokian license plate" in OUT OF Bangkok.

Also, don't forget

- the professional pick-up drivers transporting fresh fish (look at the blue containers and Honda engines in the back), coconuts, pine apples or with closed containers (transporting ???)

- the profesional drivers of trucks, lorries, etc.

But most of all, please specify: "WORSE"

I don't know how to add more choices, but let's them votes rolling in ladies and gents.

to be added sometimes: drivers on phone

It must be same in the othe parts of Thailand, but the Minibus drivers and the large coaches. Why are the addicted to the outside lane. I'm UK taught so very reluctant to undertake, seen some nasty near misses here.

you missed Tourists. Like the guy I saw today driving a motorbike; no shirt, no helmet, talking on the phone and videoing as he drove. I am sure he was absolutely the only person on the road today.

Or at least, that was obviously what he thought as he swerved all over the lane

According to this poll, it seems Fortuners are often driven by maniacs. I've seen A LOT of crazy Fortuner drivers here in BKK. Those SUV's are built on the same chassis as the Vigo and look as though they would be tipsy around tight turns. A lot of people rant and rave about them, but I'd rather have a Vigo (or another pickup) than one of those things. Earlier models had problems with the brake systems, but those kinks have probably been worked out by now.

I still like the Fortuners but I still dislike almost everyone that drives them. They keep blocking me and they drive to slow. They usually never signals and have in general very bad road manners... (wish I had a Fortuner with non failure breaks)...

second in that are the taxis and motorbikes...

Hold that thought,,, all drivers are bad in Bangkok...

Must say, that drivers in Thailand much better (at least much more polite) compare to my hometown. But If to talk about worst drivers:

  1. Fortuners. They think they are only one on the road (but actuaaly that's because not enough driving experience as I think).
  2. Old pick-ups. Often they doesn't show any signals and even their stop signals not working. You must be very carefull and analyze what they are going to do.
  3. Motorcykes. Especially young drivers.
  4. Mostly drivers in Pattaya. Compare to them drivers in Bangkok has more experience and more polite IMHO.

So Far;

Vios, Jazz and older pick up drivers in town can feel proud.

Drivers of German cars and boy racers out of town can do the same.
