Re-introduce A Home Nations Football Cup?

Recommended Posts

I was thinking it might be a good time to have a bi-annual football international competition.

Now the gap between the home nations is ever closing it might be something else to watch in the lose season, even let Rep of Ireland come and play if they wanted?

Any thoughts ?

Come off it Chon. England are way too busy playing in big European and World Cup matches to be able to do this sort of mini cup. I suppose we could send the Rochdale side along instead, to give them a game :o

I think we could have something along the same lines as the old Rugby Five Nations, but split into Two Divisions with no France.

Premier League:

England

Scotland

Northern Ireland

Jersey

Cornwall

2nd Division

Isle Of Man

Isle of Sheppey

Isles of Scilly

Guernsey

Wales

I think that would be fairly even. :o

Bring it on, I think at least bring back the Auld Enemy games v the Scots. I think it would go a long way to bringing some much needed passion and urgency (which the Scots display admirably) into the England side....!

They've got the pride you can see that but, what's pride without passion especially on a Football pitch....?

Scouse have some belief in them :o

I'll have loads of belief in them ( disclaimer : read this post at about 5:00 am :D ).

Seriously though , I expect us to win either 1-0 or 2-1 and Peter Crouch to get on the score sheet :D and I feel pretty confident about tonights game !

I will not be posting at that time, in fact at the moment I'm not sure If I'll watch it given the amount of poor games I have endured watching England play over they years. Oh well, I hope you're right, but I stil want McClown out.

Yeah, I hope they do it, but England need it more than the other nations.

Sad really when you look at the Jocks, they look at a successful campaign as one that England don't qualify in. Anyway where are they off to next summer?

So do i, now that would be a marvellous draw :o

Totally right. England will be delighted with that. Why wouldn't they be?

The only people upset will be the Plod.
