Do The Test And Post Results

Featured Replies

www.IQTest.com.

It's quite easy to navigate to the sample test and they email you the results - you don't have to buy the full results :o

I got 127 :D

I got 125, although I did guess a few of the questions at the end. Next time I'll nail it! :o

Last time I did an IQ test I got 148. I don't trust the result as I scored higher than my wife who's incredibly intelligent and far more than I am. To me it just proved that I am better at doing IQ tests than she is, it proved very little! So don't take your results too seriously!

IQ tests can be a little hit & miss because there are many factors relating to the state of one's mind when actually taking the test, like being hungover for example....

Anyone who takes an IQ test while hungover deserves whatever score they get.

Agreed that it changes evry time you take a different IQ test actually

didn't help that I was listening to the TV while I did it :o

Did it last night and then got distracted by a dog.

148

I repeatedly score between 144 and 149 on these tests, doesn't make me smart, it just means I'm good at IQ tests.

I would say that anyone who takes that test and gives their email address needs a spam filter.

I knew a guy who was applying for a high level managerial job with a multinational company. He discovered they (at the time - some years ago) used IQ tests as their main recruitment tool.

He bought a number of books on these tests and studied them closely for weeks leading up to the interview. He became very adept at the type of questions in IQ tests and scored the job. He was a clever person, but not particularly above the crowd with brain power.

To me, he proved that these tests are not really accurate in judging intelligence quotent.

I'm not very good at maths, some of the questions sort of sent me off in a trance - so i have to admit i scored 105. But i know i can do better, got a bit boring after a while and i couldn't work out how many chickens and dogs had so many legs, and how tall paul was as opposed to mark, or if my square could fit into my hexagon.....

So the neanderthal me scored 105. And why do i have to pay to do the real test? Duh!!

I got 129 but that was probably more due to luck than anything else.

I wonder how much the result is skewed by the speed score increase factor. If I ever have time on my hands I might go back and just give the same answer to all questions but very fast.

Patsycat, don't worry about your score, there are some people with very high IQ's that have trouble tying their shoe laces. I avoid that problem by wearing slip ons. :o

147 but then did another one on facebook & got 127 & recall a while back doing a different one & getting 156 so doesn't tell me much.

Yes, I agree - anyone can improve their scores on IQ tests - say you'd do one a day and compare your answers to the key each time, learning the solutions to the questions you couldn't solve - I am quite sure that after only two-three weeks you will have raised your average scores significantly just because you recognize the most common question types and have learned how to solve them, also, your stress level will be reduced and make you work more efficiently.

Wonder if there is any research about this.
