Yeah, they nailed me on Wednesday...waaaaaaaah!

It's so annoying though, I would quite happily buy legit games if Microsoft officially launched them here at a reasonable price (say between 1,000-2,000 baht) and offered full support like other regions. If PC game manufacturers can manage to make their games available for 600 baht then why cant Microsoft do it?

I think it was inevitable, which is why I went with unmodded. If you are going to take that risk try playing via Kai, although be warned that you will only be able to play with users to whom you cant get a sub 30 ping i.e. other people in you home town. So if you have been banned and are in Bangkok you may want to arrange game times on kai here.

What the heck is kai? Is that a local thai knock-off of Xbox Live?

After 1 year of happy gaming on my Xbox 360, No rings of Death, never been banned from Live. I thought it was all a myth when hearing these stories.

Then Bam today banned from Live...

That's unfortunate I thought ... Just getting COD4 in the next few days as recommended by my online buddies. So now I have a console to play off line only (a spare if you will).

I just remember when I went to buy a 360 at that time nobody sold a Non Mod machine with original games in Thailand and I wasted hours in Bangkok looking around and asking.And anyone selling anything to with a 360 looked at me strangely when asking for one.

I recently started using Nadzproject.com website and they have a good selection of backup games etc so I bought some hardware, controller, headset etc and was impressed with the service as I live on Samui...

I understand the one on the right is a NON Mod console and will only play original games. ANYONE got one of these from here or have any experience with owning a Non Mod console, Question:which region is best to get i.e US, UK and then I guess you have to stick to that region for original games?I presume UK would be the safest bet for new releases as they show they sell original games but say English not sure if that means UK or US?

Anyone?

Logged onto Live this morning to DL Undertow from Xbox live arcade. First time I've logged on since the latest ban wave

So far so good - still connected to Live

I've heard it's just the games they are able to detect as they are often not 1-to-1 perfect copies of the originals and that MS cannot detect the modded firmware

The 360 games I play online I have originals of and have been careful to only play single player modded games offline

To be honest I rarely play 360 online anyway - only thing I'd miss is the ability to DL the xbox live arcade games

I logged on with no games in drive? I read a few xbox, Gamertag is ok a used on another machine.Somthing to do with type of drive installed in Xbox and the Samsung drives got away with the last sweep but no this time (mine is a Samung- small hole in center)

Kai is tunnelling software that tricks your xbox (or 360 or PSP) into thinking that it is playing against a local host via system link, when in fact it captures those packets of data and send them to another system via the internet.

Its totally legit, was developed by a guy in the UK about 4 years ago, I used to use it play Halo 1, online. But mostly for Rainbow Six 3. get the software over at www.teamxlink.co.uk opr google xlink kai or teamxlink

PS there is no adware or any other form of malware built in. I used it for years with no problems whatsoever, in fact I got to know the developers after a while, good guys.
