Chances Of Getting A Usb Y-cable @ Tesco

Featured Replies

I'm wondering if anyone has an idea if Tesco Lotus stocks USB Y-Cables? I'm trying to get a USB Y-Cable in rural Nongkhai..and the closest tesco lotus is really far away. Does anyone have any other suggestions on how I might be able to obtain a Y-Cable? Does anyone know any online computer shops that sell Y-Cables?

matt, what you want to connect with USB Y Cable? Many devices wouldn't work!

I don't think that I have ever seen a USB "Y" cable.... do they exist?

I've sen USB hubs with 4 or more ports (have one myself) and it works fine. Doubt that they sell them at Tesco though. You will probably need to go to a more computer specific shop.

Saw a USB hub at Tesco today for 250 Baht.

It's a non USB-compliant device that I believe needs more than the 500mAmps of power that usb-compliant ports usually output. For the person who saw the USB hub at Tesco, any idea if there was an external power supply?

btw..the USB device i'm referring to that requires 600mAmps is the *rappy C-motech EVDO modem for CAT CDMA

OK, what you need is an cable with 1 connector on Modem side and 2 connector on Computer side right?

On Computer side the connector are 2 big but what's on Modem side? couls be big rectangle, or square or small rectangle!

You really need to explain the connector. If you want to use an power supply that will works only if you can power the Modem directly because the power over the USB hub will be redused to 5 Volt 500 mApms and many times less. I've one USB hub which works right with connected power supply but all other not. And the one works was costing more than THB 2,000!

May I have the right cable for you but I need to knoe exactly the type of connector on both side.
