Maternity At A Fair Price

Featured Replies

I live in Pattaya.

My wife is now pregnant and we are looking for a good hospital at an honest price. We don't want to go to the local hospitals as we have been ripped off many times in the past and we don’t like the idea of nine month’s of constant hassle over prices. what do you think about maternity in Phyathai Hospital Siracha ? Or Queen Sirikit sattahip ?

Thank’s for any help.

I don't have an opinion on that place sorry but I can advise on the least stressful means of getting through your pregnancy. Get an anti natal package which covers all you'll need beforehand. Initially you'll probably just go every 2-4 weeks but then each week in the later stages with ultrasound etc. Sort out any tests needed (these should be included).

If you do thi, then you'll already have sorted out the pregnancy costs (watch for any uplift to caesarian from vaginal delivery - should be no more than 10k). Make sure they don't try to rip you off for another bill for the baby and that the package is exactly that. Get something in writing or pay a deposit which stipulates say 50% of XYZ.

Make sure that the mother to be is confident in the obs/gyno and you interview them as well. No good if you cannot communicate as when the date comes, there will be no time to start picking through their pidgeon english.

Best of luck.
