Irishman caught up in watch and necklace snatch on Jomtien Beach.

Police from Dongtan Sub-Station on Jomtien Beach were called into action just after 6pm on Wednesday Night to assist an Irish Man who had become the victim of a theft. The incident occurred in front of the Jomtien Garden Hotel at the North end of Jomtien Beach. Mr. Desmond Griffith aged 52 from the Republic of Ireland was approached by a Thai Man, later identified as Khun Nopadon aged 29. He snatched the Irishman’s Gold Watch and Gold Necklace and attempted to escape. The incident was seen by members of the public who came to Mr. Griffith’s assistance and apprehended the suspected thief. At the station, he confessed to stealing the items because he had no work and therefore no money. He will now appear in court to answer a charge of theft early next week.

Its hardly a new thing.

I find it amusing that expats resident in Pattaya are always so defensive, should any one dare post or say anything negative about the place. Yet THEY are always the ones posting the negative news stories that contribute the general negative view of Pattaya. Go figure!!

spelling edit

Its a crime incident. They happen everyday in every big city all over the world. Nothing more. Nothing less.
